The glass in these towers is mostly new, so it is rarely worn out. It is a builder-fitted enclosure that leaks, a door that was never set straight, or a seal fitted the wrong way round. Some of that is ours to fix. Some is the builder's, and we will tell you which.
Some of this you should not be paying for
If the flat is still inside its snag or defect period, a leaking enclosure or a crooked door is the builder's to put right.
We will say so. It is a short talk and it saves you money. We would rather you called us for the next job than felt cheated on this one.
Where that period has passed, or the builder will not act, the same faults are quick for us to fix. We quote them plainly.
The three faults we see most in new flats
A seal fitted the wrong way round, so it sends water outwards instead of back into the enclosure. That is a fifteen minute fix.
A door hung slightly crooked, so it does not meet the seal along its whole length. That is an adjustment at the hinges.
And fixings put into hollow walls with the wrong plug. That is why an enclosure only two years old already feels loose. That one needs redoing properly, and it is worth doing before the glass starts rubbing against metal.
How the job works

- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
