This is the corner enclosure for a bathroom with no room for a swinging door. Two sides of toughened glass wrap the shower. Toughened glass is safety glass. The entry side carries a top-hung sliding panel instead of a hinged one. Nothing opens outward, so the dry half of the bathroom stays completely clear.

The layout this enclosure was made for

A corner shower in a bathroom where the space in front of it is doing other work: a basin, a WC, or simply a walkway.

A hinged door there either hits something, or makes you step aside every time you open it. A sliding panel removes the problem, because it moves across the fixed glass instead of into the room.

It needs enough width on the entry side for the fixed panel and the sliding panel to sit next to each other. We check that at the measuring visit and tell you the entry gap before anything is made. Then there are no surprises.

Glass, track and the corner joint

Toughened glass across both sides of the L and on the sliding panel. We choose the thickness to suit the height and width of each panel.

The corner is a glass-to-glass joint sealed with clear silicone. There is no post between the panels, so the enclosure stays light to look at.

The track runs along the entry side only. There is no bottom rail, which keeps the floor clear and much easier to clean. The sliding panel hangs from soft-close rollers, so it eases to a stop instead of knocking against the end.

We seal along both wall joints, the floor line and the corner, in an anti-fungal bathroom-grade silicone.

What happens after you enquire

Send photos of both open sides and the rough sizes. We usually reply the same day with a range.

We measure once the tiling is finished. At that visit we check both corner angles, the width you have on the entry side, the wall the track fixes to, and how the glass will reach the bathroom.

You get a written price. An advance covers the materials, then the glass takes a few working days to make.

Fitting is normally a day. We level the track first, then fit the fixed panels, then the sliding panel, then the sealing. Wait about a day before using the shower.

How your final price is worked out

This is the most involved shower enclosure we build, and the price shows that honestly.

An L-shape has more glass edge for its floor area than a straight run. The sliding fittings and track cost more than a pair of hinges. And the corner joint takes longer to do well than dropping a post between two panels.

So the rate starts at ₹870 per sq ft, and this shape usually sits at the upper end.

After that, the usual things apply. Glass thickness. Any frosting. A black or brushed finish instead of chrome. A hidden track if you want the fittings out of sight. And how easy the bathroom is to reach.

What customers say

4.7from 6 reviews of this work

  • Ishita BhattacharyaJP Nagar, Bengaluru★★★★★

Corner shower with no room at all for a swinging door. The slider was just the right answer, and it runs very smoothly.

  • Gurdeep ChawlaFrazer Town, Bengaluru★★★★

Good quality enclosure. It cost more than I first thought, but they explained the reason clearly at the quote stage, not afterwards.

  • Meenal WaghMalleshwaram, Bengaluru★★★★★

The corner joint is spotless and there is no post in the way. Just the clean look I wanted.

  • Abhiram ReddyMG Road, Bengaluru★★★★★

They measured the entry gap and told me what it would be before making anything. That kind of care is why I went ahead.

  • Sunaina ThakurKoramangala, Bengaluru★★★★★

Over a year old, still sliding easily, and no marks on the silicone. Very pleased.

  • Vikramjit AhujaRajajinagar, Bengaluru★★★★

Neat work and a tidy site. The team came a little later than agreed on fitting day, but they finished it properly the same day.

Common questions

The page says from ₹870 per sq ft. Why do quotes come out higher?

Because ₹870 is the starting rate, and an L-shape with a slider is the most involved enclosure we build. It has more glass edge for its area, sliding fittings instead of hinges, and a corner joint that takes real time to do well. Your written price sets out the glass, the fittings and the labour on their own lines, so you can see where the money goes.

How much notice do you need before fitting day?

Once your tiling is finished and the price is agreed, the glass takes a few working days to make. So plan on about a week. If you need a set date, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will book it in, rather than confirm it and then move it.

Which side of the L does the sliding panel go on?

The side you would step in from, which is usually the longer one. We confirm it at the measuring visit, because it also decides which way the panel parks and where the handle sits. It is worth thinking about before we come, but you do not have to decide alone.

Where the sliding panel overlaps the fixed glass, does water escape?

Very little, and not enough to wet the floor when the enclosure is set up well. The panels overlap rather than meet edge to edge, and the water runs down the inside face. Where a bathroom is very open to splashing, we can add a clear seal strip at the overlap. We will suggest it if your layout needs it.

Bengaluru water leaves white marks on the glass. How do I keep it clear?

Those marks are mineral deposits from hard water, not damage to the glass. Wiping the panels with a squeegee after a shower is the single best habit, and it takes a few seconds. Beyond that, a normal glass cleaner deals with most of it. A protective coating can be put on new glass and does help, but it needs putting on again every couple of years.
