The bathrooms here split into two kinds. Around Mathikere they are older, often in let-out houses. The enclosure has to work with plumbing that was never made for a shower. In the towers off Tumkur Road they are new. They already have a wet area marked out, and the job is simple.
Older bathrooms, no wet area
In a room with one drain in a corner and no step, the enclosure has to hold the water on its own.
We set it so the shower water runs towards the drain. We put the opening on the higher side of the floor. Water then runs away from the gap, not towards it.
Where the floor barely slopes, we add a low strip at the opening. It is not a step. It is a few millimetres. It is usually the difference between a dry floor outside and a wet one.
Why water still comes out at the door
Let us say this plainly. No shower enclosure is fully watertight at the opening. Anyone who promises that is selling something.
What we control is the direction. The door sits over the fixed panel by a set amount. The seal then pushes water running down the join back inside the enclosure.
An overhead rain shower throws water much further than a hand shower. If you have one, tell us at the measurement visit. It changes how tall we make the panel and which side the opening goes.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
