A lot of our work here is in flats that were just handed over. That is the best time to fit an enclosure. An empty bathroom is faster to work in. The dust falls where it does not matter. The silicone also gets the days it needs to dry before anyone showers.
Before you move in is the right time
Drilling tile makes fine dust. In a flat you live in, that dust lands on everything you own.
Silicone is the other reason. A shower seal needs a clear day or two to dry before it gets wet. In an empty flat this happens on its own. In a flat you live in, someone always showers first.
There is also nothing to move. No cupboards, no bucket, no shelf of bottles in the way. The same enclosure goes in much faster.
Builder bathrooms are close to standard, not standard
Every flat on your floor has the same drawing. We still measure yours.
Tile work is done one flat at a time. Two bathrooms built to the same plan can differ by ten or fifteen millimetres in width once tiled. The walls are rarely straight top to bottom either.
So we measure the width at the top, the middle and the floor. We make the glass to the smallest one. Glass cut to your neighbour's size will not close.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
