A shower enclosure in a Hebbal tower is half a glass job and half a delivery job. The bathroom part is simple. The hard part is moving a toughened panel (safety glass) from the gate up to a high floor. It needs a gate pass, a booked service lift, and the building's set hours. The lift may not take a panel over a certain length.
We measure the lift before the bathroom
A service lift has a fixed inside size. If a panel does not fit the lift, it will not fit the fire stairs either. And toughened glass cannot be cut smaller once it is made.
So we measure the lift on the same visit as the bathroom. If one panel will not go up, we make the enclosure as two panels joined with a glass strip. This is normal. You barely notice it once it is fitted.
The one thing we must avoid is glass arriving at a lift it cannot enter. A made-to-size panel fits nowhere else in the city.
Timing the delivery around the flyover
A booked lift slot does not wait. And at the wrong hour, the flyover can hold a vehicle for a long time.
So we deliver early. If you miss a lift slot in a tower, you usually lose a full day. The next slot is often the next day, and the building has to book it again.
This is why we ask for your tower name and the building's lift hours on the first call. It is one phone call for us. It is the difference between a firm date and a maybe.
Which style suits your bathroom
The blocks around Hebbal go from fairly new to about twenty years old.
If your bathroom was just re-tiled, frameless glass is the right choice and looks better. In an old bathroom in an older tower, the walls have usually moved a few millimetres over time. A slim aluminium frame hides that inside its channel. Frameless glass cannot.
