Marathahalli is one of the busiest places we work in. The traffic decides more about the day than the job does. On the main road there are small offices and showrooms above shops. One street back, in Kundalahalli, AECS Layout and Munnekollal, there are thousands of rented flats. Both are easy work. Getting a vehicle to them at the wrong hour is not.
Why we always deliver early here
The Ring Road and the bridge decide our timings. A delivery that leaves at nine in the morning can lose two hours before it reaches you. A vehicle full of cut-to-size glass stuck in that traffic helps nobody.
So we deliver before eight, or after the evening has cleared. The fitting itself then runs a normal day.
This is worth knowing before you book. It also affects the measuring visit. We will offer you an early slot for that too, and it is worth taking.
Small offices above shops
The usual job here is one or two cabins in a small office, on the first or second floor of a commercial building. Recruitment firms, coaching centres, travel desks, small IT service companies.
These rooms are small, often 35 to 120 sq ft of glass. A small room always costs more per square foot. The reason is simple. A door set costs the same in a small cabin as in a large one. Here much less glass has to carry that cost.
The honest saving is to order both cabins together, not one now and one in six months. Then one measuring visit, one delivery and one day of our team's time cover both.
Rented flats, and who has to agree
A lot of the bathroom work here is in rented flats. So there is an extra question before we start: whose permission do we have?
If you are the tenant, get the owner to agree in writing before we make anything. Toughened glass (safety glass) is made to your opening and fits nowhere else, so it cannot be returned.
If you are the owner and someone lives in the flat, tell us and we will work around the tenant. One bathroom is half a day to a day. Then allow about a day for the silicone to set before the shower is used.
