Dwarka is co-operative group housing, sector after sector of it, and that makes it the most rule-bound place we work in Delhi. Almost every society has written work hours, a gate register, a materials lift and often a refundable deposit. None of it is difficult. All of it has to be arranged before glass arrives, and that is the part we take off your hands.
What the society needs, and when to start it
Most Dwarka societies want the same four things: the names of the people coming, a note of what work is being done, a booking on the service lift, and sometimes a refundable deposit against damage to common areas.
The mistake that costs a week is leaving this to the day the glass is ready. So we ask at the measuring visit who runs the society office and what they need, and we prepare it then.
That paperwork runs while your glass is being cut and toughened, which takes three to five working days anyway. Done that way it adds nothing to the timeline. Done backwards it adds a week and your panels sit in a lobby, which is a bad place for toughened glass to stand.
Balcony glazing and why the society cares
Enclosing a balcony is one of the most common requests in Dwarka, and it is the one job where the society has a real stake beyond noise and timing.
Glazing a balcony changes the outside face of the building. Many societies here either restrict it or specify exactly which system, which frame colour and which glass everyone must use, so the block stays uniform. That rule is usually reasonable and it is always easier to follow than to argue with.
So ask the society before you order, not after. Where a system is specified we will quote that system. Where nothing is specified we will show you the options and be straight about what each one does in Delhi's dust and in July rain, which is the part that actually matters.
Standard flats, and what that is worth to you
There is a real advantage to how Dwarka was built. Within a society the flats repeat, so the bathrooms repeat, and after a few jobs in a block we know what we will find before we walk in.
That makes the measuring visit quick and the quote firm. It also means that if two or three flats in one block want the same work, we can do them on one trip. The measuring visit, the delivery and a day of the team's time are the fixed costs in any glass job, and sharing them across three flats instead of one is the single biggest saving available in this kind of work.
