Glazing the balcony is very popular in these societies. It keeps out dust and gives a little extra room.
But it changes how the building looks. Many committees here have a rule: either no glazing, or everyone uses the same frame and glass.
Ask your committee before ordering. If they name a system, we quote exactly that one.
Flats from the eighties and nineties
Most flats here are thirty to forty years old. Bathroom work is replacement, not first fitting.
The old screen comes out, and we check the wall behind for damp. Walls have usually moved a little, so a slim frame often seals better than frameless glass.
