A frameless glass partition costs ₹620 to ₹905 for each square foot of glass. That price is fitted, before GST. Frameless is not just a nicer look on a cheaper system. It is built in a different way. The glass stands on small metal clamps. It does not sit inside a frame. That is why it almost disappears in a room. This is also why the sizes must be exact. And it is why the price works the way it does.
What frameless means
The panels stand on their own. Small steel clamps hold them at the top and bottom. Where two panels meet at a corner, a small connector joins them. There is no post. Nothing runs around the edges. So from a few feet away, you just see a plain sheet of glass.
Nothing holds the edges. So the glass has to be thicker to stay steady. 10mm is the usual smallest size. Full-height panels are normally 12mm.
There is no frame to hide a small mistake. So we cut every panel to the exact size of your opening. Then it is toughened. After that it cannot be trimmed, even a little.
Who chooses frameless over a framed system
People who want a room to feel as open as possible. And people fitting out a space where the look is part of what they sell. A director's cabin. A meeting room beside reception. A clinic room. A shower in a new flat.
Maybe your walls are clearly not straight. Or maybe you will move the partition every year or two. Then a slim aluminium frame is the better buy. A frame has a few millimetres of spare room to hide the gap. Frameless does not.
Where the money goes
Five things. The glass, the fittings, the cutting, the delivery, and our team's time.
On a big job the glass is most of the cost. So the rate falls to the lower end. On a small job the fittings cost the most. A door set costs the same in a 35 sq ft partition and a 300 sq ft one. But a small job has much less glass to carry that cost.
This is the most useful thing to know before you ask for a price. A 5 x 7 ft partition costs ₹850 per sq ft. A full-height cabin costs ₹620. Both are correct. Both use the same door set. The big one just has six times more glass to share the cost.
What the common sizes cost
A 5 x 7 ft partition with a hinged door, in 10mm glass, comes to about ₹29,800.
The same partition with a sliding door is about ₹30,500. Sliding parts and a track cost more than a pair of hinges. And the door needs clear wall space to slide across.
A full-height frameless cabin has three glass sides on a 10 x 8 ft floor. That is about 216 sq ft of 12mm glass. It comes to about ₹1,33,900.
All of these prices are before GST. They are firm only after we measure.
How the fitting works
We measure on site first. Wall to wall, and floor to ceiling. We check the floor where the door fittings go. And we check the way the glass will reach your door.
Then you get a written price. You approve it and pay the advance. The glass is then cut, drilled and toughened. That takes about three to five working days.
On fitting day our team sets the fixed panels first and levels them. The door goes on last. We adjust it until it stays exactly where you leave it. One frameless cabin is normally one day. Two cabins, or a hard site, takes two days.
Glass and fittings
10mm clear toughened glass suits most partitions and shower enclosures. Toughened glass is safety glass. Full-height cabins and taller panels are normally 12mm. Clamps and connectors are steel.
Doors hang in one of two ways. Either on glass to glass hinges. Or on a floor spring with a top pivot and a set of clamps. The right one depends on how the door needs to swing, and what your floor is made of.
Chrome is the normal finish. Black and brushed cost more. Usually about a third more than chrome on most parts. It is good to know this before you choose black for a whole floor.
Why come to us for frameless
Frameless leaves less room for mistakes than any other system. There is no frame to hide even a two millimetre error.
So we measure it ourselves. We do not work from a drawing. We order the glass from the factory ourselves. And the person who measured is the one answerable for the panel that arrives.
We give a warranty on our own fitting work. The fittings carry the maker's warranty. And a site manager stays with the job until every door swings properly.
