Domlur is a short road with two kinds of tenant. There are the managed office parks off Old Airport Road. A facility team decides when we can be in the building. And there are the small studios and firms in the layout behind. There the landlord decides, and usually says yes to whatever suits you. The glass is the same. The way the day runs is not.
Two kinds of building, two kinds of week
In a managed park, the order is fixed. Facility approval from you as the tenant. Our workers' IDs. An insurance letter. Then a lift slot. That takes a few working days, which is also how long your glass takes to make. So we run them together.
In the layout behind, there is usually no process at all beyond the landlord agreeing. We can often work a normal day, and sometimes a Saturday.
Tell us which of the two you are in on the first call. It changes the price, because night work and lift bookings are real hours. We would rather show that up front than add it later.
Meeting rooms where the sound matters
Domlur has a lot of small firms doing calls all day. The most common ask here is a room that keeps talk inside.
That means full-height glass, sealed at the top and both sides, with a door that closes properly and no gap at the floor. A partition that stops short of the ceiling will not do it, whatever it costs.
Glass does not block sound the way a solid wall does, and we will not tell you otherwise. What full-height sealed glass does is bring a normal talk down to a low sound outside. That is what most people really want.
Repairs, which is half our work here
The most common call is not broken glass. It is a cabin or entrance door that slams, drifts open, or will not latch. In a door used hundreds of times a day, the closing gear in the floor wears out. Changing it is usually a two to three hour visit.
Send a short video of the door moving. That tells us more than any words, and it means the right part is on the van the first time.
We treat broken glass as urgent. Where we can get into the building, we clear it and cover the opening the same day. We then make the new panel, which takes a few working days.
