South City II, across Sectors 49 and 50, is one of Gurugram's older private colonies. Plotted houses and builder floors went up here in the late nineties. Twenty-five years on, the original bathrooms, windows and doors are wearing out together. Most of our work is replacing them properly, in homes people are living in.
Original windows at twenty-five years
Many homes here still have their original aluminium windows. The frames have faded, the rubber seals have gone hard, and the sliding sashes stick.
Some only need new rollers and seals. Others have frames that have warped or corroded and need replacing.
We check each window and tell you which is which, rather than quoting a whole new set by default.
Replacing a bathroom in an occupied home
Bathroom work here is replacement in a lived-in house. The old screen comes out, old sealant is scraped away, and we check for damp behind it.
Walls in a building this age have usually moved a few millimetres. Frameless glass shows that as a gap. A slim frame hides it and seals well.
We check with a level and show you what will look right in your bathroom.
Keeping dust and noise down
Families are living in these homes while we work. So the noisy part, drilling and cutting out old fittings, happens first and early.
We cover floors on the way to the bathroom, contain dust where we cut, and clean up before we leave.
A bathroom is usually out of use for a day, and we tell you that plainly at the start.
