A glass shower cubicle costs ₹620 to ₹2,330 for each square foot of glass, fitted, before GST. In plain clear glass the range is ₹620 to ₹1,045, and the type of door decides where you land. Above that you are paying for special glass: fluted glass costs more than twice as much as clear, and bent glass over three times. A typical 35 sq ft straight enclosure with a hinged door comes to about ₹29,800.

What a shower cubicle job includes

The price includes toughened glass cut to your bathroom and drilled for the fittings before it is toughened. It also includes the hinges or sliding parts, a handle, the seals, a support rod where the run needs one, the silicone, and our team fitting it all.

It does not include tiling, plumbing or a shower tray.

We measure after the tiling is finished. The size that matters is the finished tile face, not the wall behind it.

Who this is for

This guide is for owners fitting a shower enclosure in a new flat. It is also for families replacing an old enclosure that has gone cloudy or started to leak, and for landlords getting a flat ready to let.

If your building sets hours for work, tell us when you get in touch. It does not change the price, but it decides which day we can fit.

How the different shapes price out

A straight enclosure from wall to wall with a hinged door is the cheapest option with a door. It has one fixed panel, one door and two hinges. At ₹850 per sq ft, a typical 35 sq ft enclosure comes to about ₹29,800.

A sliding door suits a bathroom where a door has no room to swing. At ₹870 per sq ft, the same area comes to about ₹30,500, because the sliding parts and track cost more than hinges.

A corner enclosure starts at the same ₹850 per sq ft. It has a return panel and a corner connector, so there is more glass for the same floor, and the total is higher.

A fixed walk-in panel with no door is the simplest build, at ₹620 per sq ft. In a well-drained bathroom it is often all you need.

What the designer glass costs, and why

Everything above ₹1,045 per sq ft is the glass, or the metalwork on it. The seals, the silicone and the fitting work cost the same as on a plain enclosure.

Fluted glass has fine ribs running down it, and it costs more than twice as much as clear glass of the same thickness. A fully fluted enclosure starts at ₹1,305 per sq ft, so a 35 sq ft shower comes to about ₹45,700. Fluted glass on the fixed panel only, with a clear door, brings the rate to ₹1,085 and the same shower to about ₹38,000.

A slim matte black frame around clear glass is ₹1,235 per sq ft, or about ₹43,200. You are paying for about 34 running feet of powder-coated frame, cut and joined on site. The black grid, in the window-pane style, is ₹1,730, because it adds about 58 running feet of bar bonded to both faces and more time to set it out.

Bent glass is the big step. Each panel is formed over a steel mould made for your curve, and a panel that comes out uneven cannot be used. A curved corner enclosure starts at ₹2,010 per sq ft, about ₹80,400 for a 3 by 3 ft quadrant. A full walk-in spa room in curved 12mm glass starts at ₹2,330.

We always quote the plain version alongside, so you can see what the look is costing you.

How long it takes

Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days from measuring to fitting. We measure once your tiling is finished.

Fitting one enclosure usually takes one day on site. After that, do not use the shower for about 24 hours, so the silicone can set. Using it the same evening is a common reason a new enclosure seems to leak in its first week.

What it is made of, and what stops the leak

10mm clear toughened glass is the usual choice, and 8mm is fine for a small fixed screen. The walk-in spa room uses 12mm. Frosted and tinted glass cost extra.

The fittings matter more here than anywhere else, because a bathroom is warm and wet every day. Hinges are glass-to-glass or wall-to-glass, in a chrome finish as standard.

The closing edge takes a proper edge seal, and that seal is what keeps the water inside. Plastic seals run along the bottom and the sides. We seal the edges at the walls and floor with bathroom-grade silicone.

What we look after

We measure after your tiling is done and make the glass to those sizes. We deliver it into your home without marking the walls, and fit and seal it with our own team. If your building needs a gate pass or a lift booking, tell us and we arrange it with you.

We give a 2-year warranty on every product we fit, and 6 months on our repair and installation work. If an enclosure leaks because of our sealing, we come back and put it right.

What happens after you get in touch

Send a photo of the bathroom and the width of the opening. The photo also tells us whether a door has room to swing.

We call you back with a range. Once the tiling is finished, we measure and give you a written price. You pay an advance for the materials, and then we fit.

What changes the price

  1. Type of glass

Plain clear toughened glass (safety glass) is the base price. Frosted, tinted and extra-clear glass cost more. A frosted band or an etched logo is priced by the size of the area we treat. Fluted glass, which has ribs running down it, costs more than twice clear glass. Glass bent to a curve costs over three times. On those jobs the glass, not the fittings, decides the price.

  2. Thickness

10mm suits most partitions and showers. We use 12mm for full-height cabins, shop fronts, and panels much over 8 feet tall. Going from 10mm to 12mm adds about ₹55 per sq ft.

  3. How much glass

You pay for the glass, not for the floor. A 10 x 8 ft cabin with three glass sides needs about 216 sq ft of glass, not 80. Size also helps you. That same cabin costs about ₹620 per sq ft. A small 5 x 7 ft partition with the same door parts costs ₹850.

  4. Fittings

On a small job, the fittings change the price more than anything else. A full door set costs about ₹7,500. This cost is the same for a 35 sq ft partition or a 300 sq ft one. On a small job, very little glass has to carry that cost.

  5. Doors

A fixed panel with no door is the simplest thing we make, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Add a hinged door and the rate goes to ₹850. A sliding door adds rollers and a track. A hidden track adds even more.

  6. Cutting and drilling

Every hole and cut-out is made before the glass is toughened. We charge for each one. A panel with a door, a lock and a handle needs much more work than a plain panel of the same size.

  7. Delivery

Toughened glass travels upright in a frame. It cannot be cut once it leaves the factory. Delivery costs about the same for a big load or a small one. So one big delivery is cheaper than three small ones.

  8. Fitting work

This is the time our team spends at your site. A straight partition against good walls usually takes one day. Some things add time: night work, scaffolding, or a second trip because the site was not ready.

  9. Site conditions

Some sites take longer to work in. Walls that are not straight. Floors that are not level. Tiles we have to drill. No service lift, short working hours, or an upper floor with only stairs. Each of these adds time on site.

Common questions

Can you measure before the bathroom is tiled?

We can visit, but we cannot make the glass from that measurement. The size that matters is the finished tile face, and toughened glass cannot be trimmed after it is made. So we measure after tiling, which is why we ask for your tiling date on the first call.

Is fluted or curved glass worth two or three times the price?

It depends on what you want from it. If you want privacy, a frosted band on clear glass does the same job for much less. If you want the look, nothing else gives it, because the ribs or the curve are made in the glass itself. We quote the plain version next to it, so you can decide with both numbers in front of you.

Which shower enclosure gives the best value in Bengaluru or Delhi NCR?

A frameless straight enclosure with a hinged door, at ₹850 per sq ft. It costs about ₹29,800 for a normal 35 sq ft opening, it has few moving parts, and clear frameless glass does not date. If your budget is tighter, a fixed panel with no door, at ₹620 per sq ft, is the cheapest way to stop the splash.

Frameless or a slim aluminium frame for a bathroom?

Frameless looks lighter and is quicker to clean, because there is no channel for soap to collect in. A slim frame copes better with walls that are not straight. In a new bathroom with straight walls, choose frameless. In an older bathroom being redone, a frame is often the better buy.

Why does each style have a different rate?

Because each one costs a different amount to build. A fixed panel has no door parts at all. A partition with a hinged door needs a full set of parts. A sliding door costs even more. And a large cabin shares one door set across much more glass. So its rate per sq ft is the lowest of all. We work out every rate on this site from the real cost. We do not pick the numbers.

Is the rate per sq ft of glass, or per sq ft of floor?

It is per sq ft of glass. This is the main reason a price can look higher than you thought. A 10 x 8 ft cabin sounds like 80 sq ft. But if three sides have glass 8 ft tall, you are buying about 216 sq ft of glass. Your written price shows the glass area. So you can check the sum yourself.

Do these prices include GST?

No. Every rate on this site is before GST. Your written price shows the amount and the GST on separate lines. So nothing surprises you at the end.

Why does a small job cost more per sq ft than a large one?

The door set, the delivery and one day of our team's time cost about the same on any job. On a 5 x 7 ft partition, only 35 sq ft of glass carries those costs. On a full-height cabin, about 216 sq ft carries them. That is why the same kind of build drops from ₹850 to about ₹620 per sq ft.

Why do the fluted and curved showers cost two or three times more?

Because the glass itself costs that much more, not because we charge more to fit it. Fluted glass has ribs running down it. It is made in smaller batches, and we buy it at over twice the price of clear glass. Glass bent to a curve is made on a mould, one panel at a time, and a panel that comes out of the oven wrong cannot be used. That is why a curved enclosure is over three times a flat one. The seals, the silicone, the measuring visit and the day on site are the same on all of them.

What is the cheapest way to get this look?

A fixed glass panel with no door, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Every moving part adds cost: hinges, a lock, a door closer, a sliding set and its track. If the room works with an open doorway instead of a closing door, that is where you save.

Do you charge for coming out to measure?

Asking us for a price costs nothing. The measuring visit is part of the job, not a separate bill. We always measure. This is because toughened glass is cut to size before it is toughened. It cannot be cut again later.

How much advance do you take?

Enough to cover the materials, once you have approved the written price. Glass cut to your sizes is no use on any other job. This is why an advance is normal in this trade. You pay the rest when the work is finished.

Can the price change after you measure?

The written price is firm for the work listed on it. It changes only if the work changes. For example, different glass, an extra panel, or a door where there was an open gap. If we find something at your site that we could not see earlier, we tell you before we go on.
