NIT is the dense commercial heart of old Faridabad - shops at street level, rooms and small offices above, and market lanes that fill up early and stay full. The work here is shopfronts, entrance doors and a steady flow of repairs. The glass is straightforward. Arriving with it is the part that needs planning.
Planning the drop before the market wakes
In the NIT markets a vehicle standing in a lane does not just inconvenience people. It stops the lane. So the delivery is planned as carefully as the glass.
We arrive at first light, before the market wakes up. The panels come off, the vehicle leaves immediately, and the carrying and fitting happen afterwards, both of which are quiet and cause nobody any trouble.
This is why we ask which lane, which side and which floor when you first call. It is not paperwork. It decides what time we start, how many people we send, and whether panels can be brought in whole at all.
Entrance doors, and the part that actually wears out
A shop entrance here is opened and closed hundreds of times a day, and it is the hardest-working thing we fit anywhere.
Which is why the floor spring matters more than the glass. The floor spring is the mechanism set into the floor that closes the door in a controlled way. A commercial-rated one is built for that cycle count. A lighter one looks identical on the day, costs less, and starts slamming or drifting open within a year - at which point the door gets blamed for a fitting problem.
We fit the rated part and tell you which one it is. And when a door starts misbehaving, we check the floor spring and the hinges before quoting a new door, because in most cases the door is fine and the fitting is not.
Rooms above the shops
Above the shopfronts there are offices, small clinics and living space, reached by a narrow common stair that is often shared between several businesses.
That stair sets the panel size, and we measure its turn before designing anything. Toughened glass cannot be trimmed on site, eased round a corner, or repaired if it breaks - it is made to a size and that size has to reach the room.
So runs here carry more joints than they would in a building with a lift, and that is the right trade. A slim vertical connector is hard to see from a few feet away. A panel that cannot get past the first landing is a week's delay and a bill nobody wants to pay.
