Greater Faridabad - the Neharpar sectors from 75 to 89 - is the newest part of the city. Towers handed over in recent years, plotted houses still being finished, and a lot of empty flats waiting for their first fit-out. That makes almost everything here a first fitting, which is the cleanest and quickest work we do.
A first fitting has no removal in it
There is nothing to take out, and that removes a real amount of work from the job.
In a fifteen-year-old bathroom half the day goes on cutting out an old screen, scraping hardened silicone back to clean tile, and finding out whether the wall behind is sound. Here none of that exists. The tiles are new, the walls are close to true, and nobody is living there to work around.
It also means frameless glass is genuinely available to you. Frameless panels are cut square and need walls that are true - in an older flat they often are not, and a slim frame becomes the answer whether or not you wanted it. Here the choice is about how you want it to look. We still check with a level, because handover quality varies.
Plotted houses: measure the whole house once
A good part of Neharpar is plotted houses rather than towers, and a house typically needs three or four bathrooms, often a stair railing, and sometimes a terrace enclosure.
Treating those as separate jobs is the most expensive way to do them. The measuring visit, the delivery and a day of the team's time are paid once regardless of how much glass goes in.
The access at a plotted house is also as good as it gets: ground level, a gate wide enough to reverse into, no lift to book. So the constraint that shapes tower work simply does not apply, and larger single-piece panels are possible where a tower would force a joint.
Stair railings, and why they are specified differently
Most new houses here want a glass staircase railing, and it is worth understanding that this is not a partition with a different name.
A partition holds itself up. A railing stops a person falling, so the glass thickness, the fixing detail and the clamping are decided by that duty rather than by appearance. Where the design has no top handrail, the glass carries more and must be specified accordingly.
We will not fit a railing to a partition specification. If you are comparing quotes and one is noticeably cheaper, ask what glass thickness and what fixing it uses before assuming it is the same product. In a house with children this is the one place in this trade where the specification is not a matter of taste.
