Laxmi Nagar is vertical and dense. Shops at street level, and above them floor after floor of coaching centres, small offices, back offices and clinics, reached by a narrow common stair. There is a great deal of partition work here, and the whole job is decided by how the glass gets up that stair.
The stair, and why we measure it first
The common stair in a Laxmi Nagar building is usually narrow, often shared with three other businesses, and almost always has a tight turn.
That turn is the first thing we measure. Not the room - the stair. Because toughened glass is made to size and cannot be cut down, bent, or eased round a corner, and when it breaks it breaks entirely.
We then design the run to what will physically arrive. In practice that means more joints here than in a building with a service lift, and that is the right trade: a slim vertical connector is barely visible from a few feet away, and a broken panel is a week's delay and a bill nobody wants.
Coaching floors need quiet, not just walls
A large share of the partition work here is classrooms, and classrooms have a requirement offices do not: one class must not hear the next.
This is where honest advice matters. A single sheet of toughened glass does not cut much sound. It is rigid, and sound passes straight through it. A glass classroom partition looks excellent and, on its own, will disappoint you on noise.
Where quiet genuinely matters the answer is a double-glazed partition with a sealed cavity, and it costs more because it is a different product. We will price both, tell you plainly what each will do, and let you decide. What we will not do is sell single glazing into a classroom and let you find out in week two.
Delivering onto Vikas Marg
This road is busy from mid-morning until late, and a vehicle standing outside your building with glass on it becomes everyone's problem quickly.
So we deliver early - usually before nine - unload straight away, and move the vehicle before anything is carried up. The fitting happens afterwards, which is quiet work and causes nobody any trouble.
