Delhi winters are cold, so showers run hot for a long season. Hot water is one of the two things that age a shower seal. The seal is clear PVC, a soft plastic strip. Over the years it hardens, its lip stops touching the floor, and water runs out.
The bottom strip, called the sweep, usually fails first. A puddle along the bottom edge of the door points to it. A wet line in front of the closing edge points to the side strip.
