There are two jobs here: the shops around Jwala Heri, where a fault stops trade, and the homes in the blocks behind, where it does not. Both are ordinary work. The difference is entirely in how fast it has to happen and when, and we treat them as two different kinds of booking.
Market repairs, measured in trading hours
For a shop, the cost of a fault is the time the shop cannot trade properly, which is usually far more than the repair.\n\nSo the priority is making it workable today and finishing it properly afterwards.\n\nThat means boarding a broken pane the same day and fitting the replacement before opening a few days later, rather than waiting to do it all at once. We split it that way deliberately, and it is almost always what a shop actually wants.
Home repairs, where the right day matters more than the fast one
In a home, almost nothing is urgent, and the useful thing is a visit that deals with everything in one go.\n\nSo we would rather book a day next week when the whole list can be done than come tomorrow for one item.\n\nThat is cheaper and it means we bring the right parts. The only genuinely urgent domestic jobs are a broken pane at ground level and a door that will not lock, and we treat those differently.
Outer Ring Road elevations
Properties facing the Outer Ring Road take the same punishment as any main road: dust into the tracks, hardened seals, blocked drainage slots and faster corrosion on external metalwork.\n\nThe useful maintenance is cleaning the window tracks and clearing the drainage slots once a year, before the monsoon.\n\nIt is a few minutes per window with a vacuum and it prevents most of what we would otherwise be called to on that elevation. We show people how rather than charging to do it annually.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
