Karol Bagh runs long hours and heavy footfall, and the repairs that matter are the ones that stop a shop trading or a hotel letting a room. The rest - windows, mesh, mirrors, glass tops, railings - we do on the same visits, usually for the flats and offices above the shops.
Pedestrian frontages and how material actually arrives
Much of the main shopping stretch cannot be reached by vehicle during trading hours, so glass is carried the last part on foot.\n\nThat means panel size is limited and timing matters: early morning is usually the only practical window for anything large.\n\nSo when we quote a front here we say when we would do it, not just what it costs. A quote that ignores how the glass arrives is a quote that gets revised, and we would rather have that conversation at the start.
Shutters, and the glass behind them
Most shops here close behind a rolling shutter, and the shutter is what protects the glass overnight.\n\nA shutter that has dropped or run out of true rubs against the frame or the glass edge every time it closes, and that is how a front pane gets chipped without anybody breaking anything.\n\nSo when a front pane has failed with no obvious cause we look at the shutter before replacing the glass. Fitting a new pane behind a shutter that is still catching simply starts the clock again.
Hotel repairs that cannot take a room out for long
For the hotels here, a repair is measured in room-nights rather than rupees.\n\nSo we prioritise anything that makes a room unlettable - a shower seal, a broken mirror, a bathroom lock - and we carry those parts.\n\nAnything cosmetic gets done on the same visit but planned around it. It is worth telling us at booking which faults are stopping a room being let, because that changes the order we work in and usually the day we come.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
