When a run of rooms is being done, we fit one completely and live with it for a few days before the rest are made.\n\nThat first room shows up everything a drawing cannot: whether the door clears the WC, whether the seal works with the actual water pressure, whether housekeeping can clean behind it.\n\nChanging one enclosure is cheap. Changing twenty after they are made is not. The few days that first room costs is the best money spent on the whole job.
What housekeeping has to be able to do
A hotel enclosure is cleaned every day by somebody working quickly, and anything that traps dirt will stay dirty.\n\nSo the details that matter are the ones nobody looks at: no ledge at the base where scum collects, a seal that can be wiped along rather than around, and a track that does not need a brush.\n\nWe would rather fit a simpler enclosure that stays clean than a better-looking one that does not. In a hotel the difference shows in the reviews rather than in the specification.
Replacing one room's glass without a matching problem
In a run of identical rooms, one enclosure eventually gets broken and has to be replaced on its own.\n\nIf the original was a special size or used proprietary fittings, that single replacement becomes difficult and slow, and meanwhile the room is out of use.\n\nSo we fit to standard sizes and common hardware on a hotel job wherever the bathrooms allow it. It is the decision that determines how easy the next ten years are, and it is made once at the start.

- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
