Bathrooms here are genuinely small, and that is the defining fact of the work. A standard enclosure is designed for a bathroom larger than most of these rooms, so almost everything we fit is made to the measured opening. That is less expensive than people assume and it is the only thing that works.
Why a made-to-size panel beats a stock one here
A stock enclosure comes in fixed increments, and in a small bathroom the nearest size is either too wide to fit or leaves a gap that has to be packed.\n\nA packed gap in a tight room is exactly where the enclosure will leak.\n\nGlass cut to your opening costs a little more than a stock panel and removes the problem completely. In a room this size it is not an upgrade, it is what makes the installation work at all.
One panel is often enough
In a very small bathroom a full enclosure takes up most of the room and makes it harder to use, not easier.\n\nA single fixed screen beside the shower stops the spray reaching the basin and the door, which is the actual complaint.\n\nIt leaves the floor open, has nothing to swing and nothing to wear out, and costs considerably less. We would suggest it first in most of these bathrooms and fit a full enclosure only where somebody specifically wants one.
Getting the height right when the ceiling is low
Many of these bathrooms have a low ceiling, sometimes with a beam or a duct crossing it.\n\nA screen only has to be taller than the spray reaches, which is a little above head height, so a low ceiling is rarely a real limit.\n\nWhat it does affect is the route in: a rigid panel has to be tilted to get through a doorway and stood up in the room, and a low ceiling limits that. We measure the ceiling as well as the walls for that reason, not for the panel height.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
