The homes here sit above and behind one of the busiest markets in the city, and the practical difficulties are all about access and noise rather than the bathroom itself. The bathrooms are ordinary. Getting to them, and working without disturbing the shop below, is what shapes the job.
Carrying glass up a stair used by a shop
The staircase to these flats is often also the shop's route to its storage, and it is in use all day.
So a large panel going up is not just a question of whether it fits - it is a question of when the stair is free.
We arrange that in advance with whoever uses it, and we move glass in one go rather than in stages. A panel left standing on a stair that people are carrying stock up is the most predictable breakage there is.
Drilling above a shop that is trading
Fixing an enclosure means drilling into walls and sometimes a floor slab, and the noise carries straight down into the shop below.
That is rarely a problem if it is expected and always a problem if it is not.
So we agree the drilling window before the day - usually early morning or a quieter afternoon - and get all of it done in one block rather than returning to it. It takes a phone call and it prevents most of the friction on jobs like this.
Water, and the shop directly underneath
A leak from one of these bathrooms lands on stock, and that is a much more expensive consequence than a wet floor.
So the base detail matters more here than almost anywhere: a proper threshold, a seal that directs water in, and a check that the floor falls to the drain rather than to the door.
We also ask whether there has been a leak before. A bathroom that has leaked once usually has a reason that is still there, and the enclosure is not it.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
