Most of these plots have been rebuilt as independent floors, so the bathrooms are new and were designed with an enclosure in mind. That makes the fitting straightforward and moves the interesting decisions earlier — into the choices made while the bathroom was being built, which is when we would rather be involved.
Being asked before the tiling starts
In a new bathroom the useful moment is before the tiler, not after.\n\nAt that point the wet area can be set out to suit the enclosure, the floor falls can be laid to match, and any niche can be positioned clear of the glass line.\n\nAfterwards all three are fixed and the enclosure has to accommodate them. It costs nothing to ask us at that stage — we are quoting anyway — and it removes almost every compromise that otherwise turns up later.
Frameless, which these bathrooms can usually take
Frameless glass needs walls close to square and flat, and a newly built bathroom normally is.\n\nSo here the choice genuinely comes down to appearance and cleaning rather than to what will seal.\n\nFrameless shows the tiling, has the least metal and makes a room look larger. A slim frame is more forgiving and slightly cheaper. We level all three walls to confirm rather than assuming the build is good, but in these floors it usually is, and we say so.
Protecting new finishes while fitting
Everything in a newly finished bathroom is unmarked, and any damage is obvious and permanent.\n\nSo the drilling is the risky part: new glazed tile chips if a bit wanders, and dust marks fresh grout.\n\nWe start holes slowly without hammer action, vacuum at the bit rather than sweeping afterwards, and protect the sanitaryware before we begin. It takes longer than it would in an old bathroom, and in a new one that care is most of what people are paying for.

- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
