Narela sits well out at the northern edge of the city, and that has one honest practical consequence: coming back is expensive in time for us and slow for you. So the whole job here is organised around getting everything right on the first visit, which mainly means measuring more carefully than usual.
Why we measure more than we need to here
On a job close to base, a missing measurement costs an hour. Here it costs the better part of a day and delays your fitting by a week.\n\nSo we take more readings than the enclosure strictly requires: every wall at three heights, both diagonals, the ceiling, the door swing and the route in.\n\nMost of it is never used. The point is that when the glass is being cut, no question can arise that sends somebody back. It makes the survey twenty minutes longer and it is the difference between one visit and three.
Bringing the parts that might be needed
The other half of the same problem is hardware. A fixing that turns out to be wrong for the wall is a trivial part and a wasted trip.\n\nSo on a fitting out here we bring the alternatives — resin anchors as well as standard ones, both seal types, spare packers.\n\nIt costs us nothing to carry and it means the job finishes the day it starts. We would rather load the van heavily than explain why a shower enclosure is waiting on a fixing.
Checking the flat is actually ready before we come
The most common reason a fitting trip is wasted is that the bathroom is not finished — tiling incomplete, sanitaryware not installed, or the flat still locked.\n\nAt this distance that is a serious waste for both of us.\n\nSo we confirm the day before rather than assume: is the tiling done, is the plumbing in, will somebody be there with the key. Three questions, and they prevent almost every wasted journey we have ever made out here.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
