A fixed frameless panel divides a space with no moving parts. Frameless means glass with no frame. There is no door, no hinge and no closing gear. So it is the cheapest glass partition we build. It suits reception screens, a line along a walkway, or a room that works fine with an open doorway. Prices start at ₹660 per sq ft.

What a fixed panel does that a wall cannot

It marks a line without closing anything in. It cuts sound and guides people, and the floor still feels like one open space.

This matters in a Bengaluru office, where daylight often comes from one side only. A solid wall in the middle of a floor leaves the back half needing lights all day. A glass panel divides the space just as well and keeps the light coming through.

It is also worth a look if your budget is tight. Every moving part costs money and adds fittings: a hinge set, a lock, a floor spring. If the room works with an open doorway, leaving the door out is the biggest single saving on a small job.

The glass, and how it stands up

Toughened glass throughout, which is safety glass. Usually 12mm for a full-height panel. Thinner glass is fine for shorter panels. We tell you which one suits at the measuring visit.

A fixed panel is held in one of two ways. Either in a slim channel set into the floor and ceiling, or by clamp plates at the top and bottom. Which one we use depends on your floor and ceiling. Small packers sit under the glass to level it, so the panel stands straight even where the floor is not level.

Where panels meet each other, we join them with a small connector and a clear silicone line. There is no post, so nothing breaks up the run. Frosting or a printed film can be added if you want privacy without losing light. We apply it before the glass is toughened.

From enquiry to a finished panel

Send us the opening size and a photo. We usually call back the same day with a rough range. Then we fix a measuring visit.

At the visit we measure the opening, check whether the floor and ceiling are level, and look at how the panel will reach the room. That last point matters. A tall panel has to fit through your doors and up your stairs. If it will not, we plan the run as two panels with a connector instead.

Then you get a written price. Once you agree, an advance covers the materials. The glass takes a few working days to make. Fitting a single panel is usually half a day.

What moves the price above ₹660

The main things are the amount of glass, the thickness, and any treatment you add.

A fixed panel has no door fittings. So the biggest cost on other partitions is simply not here.

What is left is the glass itself, the channel or clamps, and the time on site. Frosting, a privacy band or a printed design is charged by the area we treat. Very tall panels move up a thickness and cost more per square foot. And a hard-to-reach site, such as an upper floor with no lift, adds time to the fitting.

As always, the written price shows the glass, the fittings and the labour on their own lines.

What customers say

4.7from 6 reviews of this work

  • Aloke BhaduriHSR Layout, Bengaluru★★★★★

A single panel to screen our reception from the work area. Simple job, done in one morning. It made the whole office feel more tidy.

  • Shraddha WagleJayanagar, Bengaluru★★★★

Clean work and honest advice. They talked me out of a door I did not need, which saved me a fair amount. I would have liked a little more notice of the fitting date.

  • Gurleen BajwaBTM Layout, Bengaluru★★★★★

We added frosting to the lower half for privacy. They applied it before toughening, just as they said, and the finish is even with no bubbles.

  • Debashish RoutRajajinagar, Bengaluru★★★★★

One year later, still perfectly straight and not a mark on the silicone. Simple and well made.

  • Zoya MirzaBanaswadi, Bengaluru★★★★

Good result. Our floor turned out to be uneven, and they fixed it with packers on the day, instead of making it my problem.

  • Nivedita PillaiBanashankari, Bengaluru★★★★★

Very easy from start to finish. The price they quoted is exactly what I paid.

Common questions

Is ₹660 per sq ft the final rate for a fixed panel?

It is the starting rate. A plain fixed panel is one of the few jobs that often lands close to it, because there is no door fittings cost. What moves it up is glass thickness on a very tall panel, any frosting or printed film, and a hard-to-reach site. Your written price after the measuring visit is the firm number.

How soon can a panel be up once I confirm?

Usually within a week. The glass takes a few working days to cut and toughen after the advance. Fitting a single panel is normally half a day. If we already have the measurements and your site is ready, that is the whole time.

Can a fixed panel be converted to one with a door later?

Not in the same glass. A door needs cut-outs for its fittings, and those are made before the glass is toughened. So an existing panel cannot be changed. Say so at the measuring visit if you think you may want a door later. We can plan the run so only one panel needs changing, not the whole thing.

Does the office need to be empty during installation?

No, but the area around the panel does. We need clear space to bring the panel in and stand it up. So we will ask you to move desks a few feet back for the morning. Most fixed panels go in during normal work hours without disturbing the rest of the floor.

How do I clean and look after the glass?

Use normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth or a squeegee. Do not use anything rough, and keep scouring pads away from the edges. Wipe the silicone line at the floor now and then, so dust does not build up on it. There is no channel or frame to trap dirt. That is one real benefit of a frameless panel.
