The buildings around Halasuru and Cambridge Layout are decades old and have been added to more than once. That one fact shapes almost every choice we suggest here. An opening a few millimetres wider at the top than the bottom is normal here. It is not a fault. But it does decide which system we quote you.
Why we measure the opening at three heights
In a building this age, one measurement is never enough. We measure the opening at the floor, the middle and the top. We check the floor with a level while we are there.
This is not fuss. Toughened glass is cut before it is toughened and cannot be cut after. So a panel made to one size, in an opening that changes, leaves a gap down one edge.
Once we know how much the opening changes, the choice is clear. Under a few millimetres, frameless is fine. More than that, and a slim aluminium frame hides it inside its channel. Frameless cannot.
Showroom and shop glass on the main road
Along Ulsoor Main Road the work changes from cabins to display glass and entrance doors. A showroom front has a different job from an office partition. It must stay as clear as possible and take heavy use at the door.
So the door goes on a floor spring made for public use, with a lock and handle to match. Lighter parts look the same in a photo but start slamming within a year.
Where the display itself matters, ask us about low-iron glass. Normal toughened glass has a faint green tint at the edge. You cannot see it on a partition, but you can see it on a display case.
Getting panels down an Ulsoor lane
Most of Ulsoor is reached down lanes where a long vehicle should not go at all. We deliver early, unload right away, and move off before the lane fills.
Then we carry the panels up by hand. So the staircase decides the largest panel we can carry, not the opening. We measure that turn on the same visit as the room.
If a panel will not make it, we build the run as two panels with a slim joint. We will not force a toughened panel round a corner. When it breaks, it breaks completely, and a made-to-size panel is not sold off the shelf.
