Bengaluru has mild weather most of the year, so an open window is worth having. The rain comes in two spells, and mosquitoes are worst in and after it. A fitted mesh lets the air in and keeps them out.
We use stainless steel mesh in powder-coated aluminium frames. Powder coating is a baked-on colour finish. Stainless mesh does not rust in wet air, from the April showers to the November rain. Sliding windows get a sliding mesh, and openable windows get a hinged one.
