Two calls come from this area more than any others. A broken showroom front on the main road, and a clinic door that has stopped closing properly. The first is urgent because of the footpath. The second is urgent because the door is used a few hundred times a day and will only get worse.
A broken front facing the footpath
Broken glass over a busy footpath is a safety job before it is a glass job.
We clear the loose pieces, remove anything still held in the fittings, and board the opening. Then the shop can be locked and used.
We make the new panel to the measured size. Toughened glass (safety glass) cannot be cut afterwards. So nobody keeps your exact panel in stock. Anyone who says they do is talking about a thinner, weaker sheet. We give you a real date for the fit.
Doors that have dropped or stopped closing
On a clinic or showroom door, the fault is almost always the fitting, not the glass.
A floor spring is a wearing part. When a door starts to slam, drift open or catch on the floor, that spring has usually gone. Changing one is normally a two to three hour visit. Our van carries the common sizes.
We fit a closer made for the weight of your door and the heavy use it sees. A light-duty one on a clinic entrance will be back to the same fault inside a year.
Locking aluminium windows and sliding doors, fixed outside shop hours
A showroom or clinic on Dr Rajkumar Road cannot leave a window unlocked overnight. When an aluminium window or sliding door stops locking, the lock is rarely the fault. The shutter has usually dropped on worn rollers, so the lock misses its keeper. The keeper is the small catch on the frame. We raise the shutter or change the rollers, and the lock meets again.
We do this early in the morning or after you close. You lose no trading time, and nothing is left open overnight.
Behind the main roads, the Rajajinagar housing blocks need different work. We repair uPVC windows and doors and seal gaps that let in dust. We also fit a mosquito net on each window, with the mesh measured to that window.
