Glass in a working unit fails for reasons a house never sees. A pallet truck clips a corner. A door gets pushed open with a trolley for the hundredth time. Nothing big happens on the day. Then the panel breaks weeks later. Knowing this pattern is most of what makes these repairs quick.
A knock does not always break the glass
A knock from a trolley usually takes a small piece out of an edge or a corner. It does not shatter the panel.
That chip matters more than it looks. Toughened glass (safety glass) is strong because its surface and edges are under tension. A chip releases that tension in one spot. Panels chipped this way often break later on their own, with nobody near them.
So a chipped edge is a replacement, not a wait-and-see. We will tell you straight when a panel is fine and when it is living on borrowed time. Guessing wrong on a factory floor is not a small thing.
Doors used hundreds of times a day
A closer or floor spring on a unit door works harder in a month than an office door does in a year.
When a door starts slamming, drifting open or catching on the floor, that is the closer, not the glass. Our van carries the common closers, and a change is normally a two to three hour visit.
We fit one rated for the weight of your door and the traffic it really sees. A light-duty closer on a unit entrance is back to the same fault within a season. Replacing it twice costs more than fitting the right one once.
Aluminium window locks, rollers and nets for plant offices
An office window in a Peenya unit has two jobs. It must lock at night, and it must open in the day. We repair both on an aluminium window. A lock that misses its catch usually means the shutter has dropped on worn rollers. Rollers are the small wheels a sliding window runs on. We change them, clean the dust out of the track and set the lock again.
A sliding door to a plant office gets the same check of rollers, track and lock. We also repair uPVC windows in the office blocks. Where a frame is past repair, we fit a new aluminium or uPVC window.
A mosquito net lets you keep an office window open after dark. The mesh sits in a slim aluminium frame, and it lifts out for cleaning.
