Fittings, delivery and fitting charges cost the same whatever the size. On a smaller job they are spread over less area, so the rate per square foot goes up a little.

What changes the price

Area
We charge per square foot of glass, measured on site. A bigger cabin costs more, but the rate per sq ft usually drops as the job grows
A door, or none
A door needs a floor machine, patches, a lock and a handle. On a small partition that fitting set is most of the price difference
Glass thickness
10mm suits most cabins. Tall or full-height panels usually need 12mm, which costs more per sq ft
Fittings finish
Chrome is standard and included. Black, gold and brushed finishes cost more per piece
Frosting
Film is priced by the area covered. Sandblasted glass costs more and must be decided before we make it
Access
Glass goes up in one piece. A narrow stair, a lift that will not take a full sheet, or a high floor adds handling time

Not sure what your job comes to? Send a photo and rough sizes. We will give you a rough price on WhatsApp, usually the same day, before anyone comes out.

A glass partition splits an office without making it feel smaller. Light still travels, so the room behind it does not turn into a dark box. We build four kinds in Bengaluru, from a plain fixed panel to a full shop front, and we do the measuring, the making and the fitting ourselves.

Frameless or aluminium: which one to pick

These are the two ways to hold a sheet of glass upright, and the choice changes the look more than the price.

A frameless partition is held by small metal clamps at the floor and ceiling. There is no frame around the glass. From a few steps away you mostly see the room behind it. This is what people picture when they say a glass cabin.

An aluminium partition sets the glass inside a slim metal frame. You see the frame lines. It suits a long run, because the frame carries the weight and the glass can be joined at the posts instead of at the glass edge. It also takes a door more easily in an older building where the floor is not level.

Both use the same toughened safety glass. Neither is stronger than the other in normal office use. Pick frameless if you want the room to disappear, and aluminium if you want a defined edge or you are running a wall a long way.

How thick the glass needs to be

For office partitions we usually fit 10mm toughened glass. Full-height panels, and anything unusually tall or wide, usually need 12mm.

Thicker glass is not about breaking. Toughened glass at either thickness is a safety glass and behaves the same way if it ever does break. Thickness is about stiffness. A tall panel in thin glass flexes when a door beside it shuts, and you can feel it move when you touch it. That movement is what a customer notices six months later.

We tell you the thickness for your sizes when we quote. If somebody has quoted you 8mm for a full-height office partition, ask them about the panel height before you compare the price.

What happens on the day we fit

Fitting a normal cabin takes most of a day. A large office in several parts takes two or three.

We need the floor finished first. Your glass is cut to the sizes we measure, and it is cut to the finished floor level, so tiles or vinyl laid after we measure will change the gap at the bottom. We also need power for our tools, and a clear way in wide enough to carry a full sheet of glass upright.

We drill into the floor and the ceiling for the clamps. That makes dust and noise for an hour or two, which matters if people are working around us. Most offices book us for a Saturday for exactly that reason. Tell us if you need that and we will plan for it.

We take the packing and the offcuts away with us.

Frosting, privacy and branding

Clear glass is the default. Most cabins get some frosting, for privacy or just so nobody walks into the glass.

Frosted film is applied to clear glass after it is fitted. It can be a band at eye height, a pattern, or the whole panel. It can carry your logo. Film can be changed later, which is why we suggest it for anything with a company name in it.

Sandblasted glass is frosted in the glass itself, before toughening. It cannot scratch off and it cannot be changed. It costs more and it has to be decided before we make the glass.

A band of frosting at eye height is worth doing on any full-height clear panel, whichever way you go. It is the difference between a partition people can see through and one people walk into.

How it works, start to finish

The same five steps on every job, whatever we are building for you.

  1. Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
  2. We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
  3. We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
  4. You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
  5. We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.

Common questions

How much does a glass partition cost for an office in Bangalore?

The rates on this page are per square foot of glass, fitted, before GST. A plain fixed panel is the cheapest. A cabin with a door costs more per sq ft, because of the door fittings. The only honest number for your office comes after we measure it, and that price is written down before any work starts.

How long does the whole job take?

Usually one to two weeks from the day you approve the price. Your glass is cut and toughened to your sizes, which takes 3 to 5 working days on its own. The fitting itself is a day for a normal cabin. We give you the dates in writing with the price.

Can you fit a partition in an office that is being used?

Yes, and most of ours are. The noisy part is drilling the floor and ceiling, which is an hour or two. Many offices book us for a Saturday so nobody is sitting next to it. Tell us how the office is used and we will plan the work around it.

Can the partition be taken down and moved later?

Yes. Glass partitions are fixed with clamps or a frame, not built in, so they come apart. The glass itself can be reused if the new opening is the same size or bigger. It cannot be cut down, because toughened glass shatters if you cut it after toughening. Tell us at the measuring stage if you expect to move it.

Do you work with our interior contractor?

Yes, and it usually goes better that way. We need the floor finished and the ceiling line settled before we measure. Give us your contractor's number and we will agree the sequence directly with them.

Is toughened glass safe in an office?

Yes. Toughened glass is several times stronger than normal glass of the same thickness. If it ever does break, it breaks into small blunt pieces instead of long sharp ones. That is the whole reason it is used for partitions people walk past all day.
