The main roads through HRBR, HBR and Kammanahalli are full of restaurants and cafes at street level, with small offices on the floors above them. Both need glass, and neither can stop trading for it. What is different is the time of day we can work.
Frontages have to go in before service
A restaurant frontage is the shop window. It cannot be missing while you are serving.
So this work happens in the morning. We measure on one visit, make the glass to size, and fit the front in one session before you open.
The entrance door needs the most thought. It is opened a few hundred times an evening. So the closer or floor spring under it has to be rated for that much use. One meant for an office door will not last a season on a restaurant entrance.
Offices on the first and second floor
Above the restaurants are small offices. Most are in buildings with one narrow inside stair and no lift.
So the stair sets the panel size. We measure the landing turn on the same visit as the room. Where a panel will not make the turn, we split the run instead of forcing it.
We also carry material up before the ground floor opens. It keeps the entrance clear for the business below you. And the noisy part of our day is over early.
The layout houses one street back
One street behind the main road the character changes completely, and so does the job.
These are converted ground floors and independent houses used as offices. The van reaches the door, there is no stair limit, and the day is much simpler.
The thing we always check here is the ceiling. Many of these have a false ceiling with an open gap above it. So we fix the top channel to the concrete slab, and cut the ceiling back cleanly around the glass line.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you backUsually the same day. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call. Then you know if a visit is worth your time.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening. We also check the walls, floor, ceiling and the way in. Your glass is made to these final sizes, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt shows the glass, the fittings and the fitting work as separate lines. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We make it and fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Then we make your glass. Our team delivers it, fits it, checks the doors line up and clears the site.
