Bellandur packs two of our biggest job types into a small area. On the Outer Ring Road there are large office campuses. The work is cabins on a live floor, and the passes take longer than the fitting. A few hundred metres behind, there are tower blocks fifteen to twenty-five floors high. Every panel travels in a booked service lift. Neither is hard. Both need planning before anything is cut.
The lift decides the panel size
In a twenty-floor tower this is the most important measurement we take, and it is not in your bathroom.
A service lift has a fixed inside size. A panel that will not go into it will not go up the fire stairs either. And toughened glass (safety glass) cannot be trimmed on site to make it fit.
So we measure the lift on the same visit as the room. Where one panel will not travel, we build the job as two panels joined with a glass connector. This is completely normal, and from a few feet away you cannot see the join. What we will not do is send a delivery to a lift it cannot enter.
Cabins on a working campus floor
Office work here is usually a run of cabins and meeting rooms on a floor already in use. Material moves at night or over a weekend, and we hand the floor back clean.
Before any of that, the campus wants a work permit from you as the tenant, our workers' IDs, an insurance letter and a material gate pass. It takes a few working days. That is exactly how long your glass takes to make. So we start both at once.
Ordering a whole floor as one project is much cheaper than one cabin at a time. One permit, one delivery and one long booking for our team, instead of repeating all three every few months.
The towers behind the road
Most of these blocks were handed over between about ten and twenty years ago. That puts them at the age where shower work goes both ways.
In a flat that has just been re-tiled, frameless is the right answer and looks better. In an original bathroom that has never been touched, the walls have usually settled a little. A slim aluminium frame hides that, where frameless cannot.
We decide with a level at the measuring visit, against your real walls. We do not sell the dearer option by default.
Association paperwork, which we handle
A gate pass, worker IDs, a service lift booking, and the association's working hours. Most blocks here want it a day ahead. A few need the flat owner to apply in person. We will tell you if that applies to yours.
Give us the tower name when you first get in touch. One phone call to the facility desk tells us the lift size and the working hours. That is enough to price the job properly instead of guessing.
