RT Nagar and the streets around Ganganagar and Sultanpalya are settled home Bengaluru. Houses and small flat blocks of three or four floors, built plot by plot over many years. Almost none have a service lift. So two things are worth telling us on the first call: which floor you are on, and how old the bathroom is. Between them they decide most of the job.
Which floor you are on changes the job
With no lift, every panel goes up by hand around a turn in the staircase, and that turn sets the largest panel we can use.
We measure it on the same visit as the bathroom. Where one panel will not make it, we make the job as two panels joined with a connector, which from a few feet away you cannot see.
A third floor and a ground floor are really different jobs here. It is much better to know that before the glass is cut than on the day it arrives.
Old bathrooms, and what has usually failed
Most work here is a replacement, and the same three things fail. The frame rusts. The seals go hard. And the silicone lets go behind the tiles.
If all three have gone, that is what fifteen or twenty years looks like, and replacing the enclosure is the right answer. Fixing one of them only lasts a few months, and you pay for the visit twice.
If the glass is sound and only the hinges, seals or handle have gone, that is a real repair and costs a small part of a new one. Send a photo of the door edge and the bottom track, and we will tell you which you have before anyone travels.
Working in a flat people live in
We cover the floors, sheet off the working area so dust does not travel through the flat, and take the old enclosure away with us the same day. We do not leave it on the landing.
A single bathroom is half a day to a day. Then allow about a day for the silicone to set before the shower is used.
If it is your only bathroom, tell us and we will fit in the morning, so the setting time falls overnight. That one bit of planning is worth more than any discount.
