Raj Nagar District Centre, known locally as RDC, is Ghaziabad's main commercial hub. Its buildings hold offices, banks, coaching centres, restaurants and showrooms. The work here is almost all commercial: office cabins upstairs, and fronts and doors at street level. Most of it is fitted outside business hours.
Office floors above the street
The office buildings in RDC hold firms of all sizes. A typical job is a floor split into cabins, a meeting room and an open area.
Most floors are rented. A framed aluminium system that unbolts at the end of the lease is usually sensible.
We measure the building's lift before designing any tall panel.
Showroom and restaurant fronts
At street level, RDC is showrooms and restaurants. Their fronts and doors take heavy use every day.
The part that wears is the floor spring. A door that slams or drifts usually needs a new spring, not a new door.
Fronts are always toughened glass, because they are public entrances.
Working outside business hours
RDC is busy from late morning, and parking is scarce. So we deliver early and do most fitting outside trading hours.
For offices, a Sunday is often best. For restaurants, after closing.
A broken front is made safe first, then replaced before opening.
