A district centre frontage is seen by everyone passing, so how a repair looks while it is waiting matters nearly as much as the repair. That changes what we do on the first visit: making something presentable is part of the job here rather than an afterthought.
Making a damaged front presentable while it waits
Where a pane has to be made safe before a replacement can be made, tape across a showroom window reflects on the business rather than on the accident.\n\nSo we make safe in a way that reads as deliberate: the pane removed and the opening neatly closed, or a clean board cut to the opening.\n\nIt costs slightly more on the first attendance and it keeps the unit presentable until the glass arrives. On a frontage like this that is usually worth considerably more than the saving.
Entrance doors, which every customer touches
The entrance is the most-used item in the unit and the first thing anybody forms an opinion about.\n\nWear shows as a handle working loose, a door that no longer self-closes, a scuffed bottom rail — none urgent, all noticed.\n\nSo we would service these on a schedule rather than repair them on failure: closing action checked, fittings tightened, alignment adjusted. Twice a year prevents most of what we would otherwise attend, and the door never looks neglected.
Working around a unit that trades all week
These units trade seven days, so almost everything happens before opening or after closing.\n\nThat is workable for most repairs, and the constraint is what has to cure undisturbed — silicone, adhesives and some fixings need time before the unit reopens.\n\nSo we sequence anything curing to the end, and where a job genuinely cannot be ready by opening we say so before starting rather than at six in the morning. Knowing that in advance is usually worth more than speed.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
