Shastri Nagar is an older plotted colony in the middle of Ghaziabad, near Nehru Nagar and the GT Road. Its houses are independent, mostly two or three floors, and many are thirty or forty years old. The work here is almost all replacement: bathrooms, windows and doors that have reached the end of their life.
Forty years of wear
At thirty or forty years, a Shastri Nagar house has worn out most of its original fittings. Windows stick, doors drop, and old bathroom screens leak.
Some of this is worn parts, like rollers and hinges. Some is failed frames, especially old steel windows.
We check each one and replace only what has truly failed.
Old steel windows
Many houses here still have old steel windows. They rust, they stick, and the glass rattles in dried putty.
Replacing them with aluminium sliding windows is a common job. The new frame fits into the old opening and is sealed properly.
We measure each opening separately, because no two old openings are the same.
Bathrooms and moving walls
In a house this age, bathroom walls have moved a few millimetres. Frameless glass shows that as a gap.
A slim aluminium frame hides it inside its channel and seals well. We check with a level before recommending.
We also check the floor slope, so water runs to the drain, not out under the door.
