Mosquito net for windows costs ₹120 to ₹380 per square foot, fitted, before GST. The type you choose decides the rate. New mesh in your existing frames is the cheapest, at ₹120. A made-to-size openable frame is ₹190, and pleated folding mesh for a wide balcony door is the costliest, at ₹380. This page prices all six types and works out a normal window and a whole flat.

What a normal window actually comes to

Mesh is sold by the square foot, so first work out your window's area. Measure the width and the height in feet and multiply them. A 4 ft by 4 ft bedroom window is 16 sq ft.

At ₹190 per sq ft, that window in a made-to-size openable frame comes to about ₹3,000. Re-meshed in its existing frame at ₹120, it is about ₹1,900. A small 3 ft by 2 ft kitchen or bathroom window is 6 sq ft, so about ₹1,150 in a new frame.

A balcony sliding mesh door is bigger. A 3 ft by 7 ft door is 21 sq ft, so about ₹6,700 at ₹320.

A whole 2BHK with six windows and one balcony door usually comes to ₹22,000 to ₹30,000, depending on the sizes and types. We give you the exact figure after measuring each window.

Why the six types cost different amounts

The mesh itself is a small part of the price. Most of what you pay for is the frame and the way it moves.

Re-meshing at ₹120 has no new frame in it. We reuse your frame, so you pay for the mesh, new spline cord and the work.

Balcony mesh at ₹140 is a simple framed grid over one large opening, so the framing is spread over a lot of area.

Magnetic mesh at ₹170 adds a light panel and a steel band, so the mesh comes off quickly for cleaning.

An openable frame at ₹190 is a made-to-size aluminium frame on hinges or a slide.

A sliding mesh door at ₹320 uses door hardware: a heavier frame, rollers, brush seals on four edges and a latch.

Pleated mesh at ₹380 is a folding mechanism with creased mesh, tensioned cords and machined rails. That is what lets one door cover a wide opening.

Cheap mesh and what it costs later

You will be quoted less than these rates, so it is worth knowing what is different.

The common cheap offer is fibreglass net on velcro or a light frame. It works at first, but strong sun makes fibreglass brittle over time, and it tears at a corner. Then you pay again.

SS304 stainless mesh costs more per square foot. It is woven steel wire, so the sun does not make it brittle and the rain does not rust it. It also stands up better to birds and pets.

The frame matters too. A frame made to your window seals all round. A stock-size frame packed out with foam leaves gaps at the corners, and a mosquito needs only one gap.

We quote stainless mesh as standard. We fit fibreglass only if you ask, and we tell you it will not last as long.

What is included, and what GST adds

Every rate on this page covers the mesh, the frame, the sealing strip where the frame meets your window, and the fitting.

GST is extra and shows on its own line, so nothing is hidden in the rate.

There is no minimum order for mesh. If you are fixing one window, it is worth adding the rest of the house to the same visit.

Mesh keeps insects out, but it is not a child safety barrier and should not be used as one.

We give a 2-year warranty on every product we fit, and 6 months on our repair and installation work.

What changes the price

  1. Type of glass

Plain clear toughened glass (safety glass) is the base price. Frosted, tinted and extra-clear glass cost more. A frosted band or an etched logo is priced by the size of the area we treat. Fluted glass, which has ribs running down it, costs more than twice clear glass. Glass bent to a curve costs over three times. On those jobs the glass, not the fittings, decides the price.

  2. Thickness

10mm suits most partitions and showers. We use 12mm for full-height cabins, shop fronts, and panels much over 8 feet tall. Going from 10mm to 12mm adds about ₹55 per sq ft.

  3. How much glass

You pay for the glass, not for the floor. A 10 x 8 ft cabin with three glass sides needs about 216 sq ft of glass, not 80. Size also helps you. That same cabin costs about ₹620 per sq ft. A small 5 x 7 ft partition with the same door parts costs ₹850.

  4. Fittings

On a small job, the fittings change the price more than anything else. A full door set costs about ₹7,500. This cost is the same for a 35 sq ft partition or a 300 sq ft one. On a small job, very little glass has to carry that cost.

  5. Doors

A fixed panel with no door is the simplest thing we make, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Add a hinged door and the rate goes to ₹850. A sliding door adds rollers and a track. A hidden track adds even more.

  6. Cutting and drilling

Every hole and cut-out is made before the glass is toughened. We charge for each one. A panel with a door, a lock and a handle needs much more work than a plain panel of the same size.

  7. Delivery

Toughened glass travels upright in a frame. It cannot be cut once it leaves the factory. Delivery costs about the same for a big load or a small one. So one big delivery is cheaper than three small ones.

  8. Fitting work

This is the time our team spends at your site. A straight partition against good walls usually takes one day. Some things add time: night work, scaffolding, or a second trip because the site was not ready.

  9. Site conditions

Some sites take longer to work in. Walls that are not straight. Floors that are not level. Tiles we have to drill. No service lift, short working hours, or an upper floor with only stairs. Each of these adds time on site.

Common questions

What is the mosquito net price per square feet in Bangalore or Delhi NCR?

Between ₹120 and ₹380 per square foot, fitted, before GST. New mesh in your existing frames is ₹120, balcony mesh is ₹140 and magnetic panels are ₹170. A made-to-size openable window frame is ₹190, a sliding mesh door is ₹320 and pleated folding mesh is ₹380. The type decides the rate far more than the window size does.

How much does mosquito mesh cost for a whole 2BHK flat?

Usually ₹22,000 to ₹30,000 for six windows and one balcony door, in stainless mesh with made-to-size frames. The sizes move it either way. Re-meshing your existing frames instead of making new ones brings it down a lot. We measure every window and give you one written figure.

Is stainless steel mesh worth the extra over fibreglass net?

Usually, yes. Fibreglass net goes brittle in strong sun and tends to tear at a corner. SS304 stainless mesh does not go brittle, stands up better to birds and pets, and wipes clean. It costs more at the start, but you are less likely to pay for new mesh again soon.

Can mesh be fitted to uPVC and aluminium sliding windows?

Yes. We make openable mesh frames for aluminium and uPVC windows, hinged or sliding, to suit each window. Magnetic mesh also works on smooth aluminium and uPVC frames, because its steel band is fixed with strong tape. We check each window when we measure and tell you which type suits it.

Is there a cheaper option than a new mesh frame?

Yes, if your frames are in good condition. We can re-mesh the frames you have at ₹120 per sq ft instead of making new ones. We check the frames first and tell you whether they are worth keeping.

Why does each style have a different rate?

Because each one costs a different amount to build. A fixed panel has no door parts at all. A partition with a hinged door needs a full set of parts. A sliding door costs even more. And a large cabin shares one door set across much more glass. So its rate per sq ft is the lowest of all. We work out every rate on this site from the real cost. We do not pick the numbers.

Is the rate per sq ft of glass, or per sq ft of floor?

It is per sq ft of glass. This is the main reason a price can look higher than you thought. A 10 x 8 ft cabin sounds like 80 sq ft. But if three sides have glass 8 ft tall, you are buying about 216 sq ft of glass. Your written price shows the glass area. So you can check the sum yourself.

Do these prices include GST?

No. Every rate on this site is before GST. Your written price shows the amount and the GST on separate lines. So nothing surprises you at the end.

Why does a small job cost more per sq ft than a large one?

The door set, the delivery and one day of our team's time cost about the same on any job. On a 5 x 7 ft partition, only 35 sq ft of glass carries those costs. On a full-height cabin, about 216 sq ft carries them. That is why the same kind of build drops from ₹850 to about ₹620 per sq ft.

Why do the fluted and curved showers cost two or three times more?

Because the glass itself costs that much more, not because we charge more to fit it. Fluted glass has ribs running down it. It is made in smaller batches, and we buy it at over twice the price of clear glass. Glass bent to a curve is made on a mould, one panel at a time, and a panel that comes out of the oven wrong cannot be used. That is why a curved enclosure is over three times a flat one. The seals, the silicone, the measuring visit and the day on site are the same on all of them.

What is the cheapest way to get this look?

A fixed glass panel with no door, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Every moving part adds cost: hinges, a lock, a door closer, a sliding set and its track. If the room works with an open doorway instead of a closing door, that is where you save.

Do you charge for coming out to measure?

Asking us for a price costs nothing. The measuring visit is part of the job, not a separate bill. We always measure. This is because toughened glass is cut to size before it is toughened. It cannot be cut again later.

How much advance do you take?

Enough to cover the materials, once you have approved the written price. Glass cut to your sizes is no use on any other job. This is why an advance is normal in this trade. You pay the rest when the work is finished.

Can the price change after you measure?

The written price is firm for the work listed on it. It changes only if the work changes. For example, different glass, an extra panel, or a door where there was an open gap. If we find something at your site that we could not see earlier, we tell you before we go on.
