A repair is priced in one of three ways. Broken glass is priced by the square foot of new glass, from ₹520. A part is one fixed price, supplied and fitted, whatever the size of the door or window, from ₹500. When nothing needs replacing, you pay for a repair visit, from ₹1,500. This page lists those prices so you can check ours, or anyone else's.

Three ways a repair is priced

New glass is priced by area, because the amount of glass changes from one job to the next. A small window pane and a full door leaf take similar work to fit, but very different amounts of glass. It starts at ₹520 per sq ft, matched to the type and thickness you had.

A part is priced per part. A door closer costs the same whether the door is three feet wide or four, and so do hinges, handles, locks and rollers. The part price includes the part, coming to fit it, and setting the door or window afterwards.

A visit is priced as a visit. Some repairs need no new part: a closer needs setting, a sliding door needs raising on its rollers, or a handle needs new washers. Then you pay for the repair visit and nothing else.

Who this page is for

This page is for anyone with a door, a window or a glass fitting that has stopped working properly. That includes a shop door that slams, an office cabin door that will not lock, and a shower door with rusted hinges.

It also covers aluminium and uPVC windows that stick, rattle or leak, doors that let in water or dust, and a loose glass railing or a cracked panel. Often one part has failed and the rest is fine. This page lets you see what that part costs before anyone visits.

What each repair costs

On a glass door, a door closer, which is the floor spring, costs from ₹3,900. A heavy-duty one for a busy shop door is ₹5,500. Hinges cost from ₹2,600 a pair, a handle from ₹1,100 and a lock from ₹1,900. A sliding door lock is from ₹1,400, a door seal from ₹950 and a door stopper from ₹650.

On an aluminium window, a handle costs from ₹650, a lock from ₹850 and rollers from ₹950 a pair. On a uPVC window, a handle costs from ₹700 and rollers from ₹1,100 a pair. New glazing rubber costs from ₹850 a window.

New rollers for a sliding door cost from ₹1,800 a door, and for a sliding shower door from ₹1,600 a pair.

For leaks and gaps, window gap sealing costs from ₹1,400 a window and door gap sealing from ₹1,200 a door. A door or window that lets in water costs from ₹1,900 to repair.

A glass railing clamp costs ₹500 each. Broken glass costs from ₹520 per sq ft, and we take the broken glass away.

Each of these is supplied and fitted. GST is extra, and the full table is below.

When it is just the visit

Some repairs need no new part. The closer needs setting, the sliding door has dropped on one roller, the handle has a flattened washer, or the lock keeper has moved.

Then you pay for the repair visit. It is ₹1,500 for a window that will not close, a sliding window, or a squeaking glass door. It is ₹1,900 for a sliding track or a stuck door. It is ₹2,300 for setting a glass door, a sliding glass door, an aluminium door or a glass railing, and that visit covers travel and up to two hours of work.

If we find a worn part on the visit, we tell you its price before we fit it. It is added on its own line, and we do not fit a part you do not need.

How long a repair takes

A handle usually takes under an hour. Hinges or rollers take an hour or two. A door closer takes two to three hours, including setting the door afterwards.

The team carries the common chrome parts. Black or brushed finishes and unusual sizes have to be ordered, and we tell you which case yours is when you send a photo.

New toughened glass has to be made to size, because it cannot be cut after toughening. Broken glass can usually be made safe the same day, so you are not left with an open gap while the new panel is made.

What the parts are

We fit floor springs, hinges, handles, locks and rollers from standard ranges sold across India. So a matching part is easy to find when it next needs changing.

We choose the part by the door, not by the price. A shop door gets a heavy-duty closer, and a heavy glass slider gets heavy rollers. A light part on a hard-working door is why some repairs keep coming back.

We fit new rubber gaskets and washers between every fitting and the glass. Reusing the old ones can crack a glass door at the hole.

We give a 2-year warranty on every product we fit, and 6 months on our repair and installation work.

Why come to us for a repair

We will tell you when a job needs setting and not a part, and when it needs a part and not a new door. Many door and window problems are smaller than they look.

We repair doors and windows that we did not fit. Send a photo of the fitting with a tape measure across it, and we bring the matching part.

If a door or a frame is too worn for a repair to last, we tell you before you pay for one.

What happens after you get in touch

Send a photo of the fitting and, for a door or a window, a short video of it moving. That usually shows us the part and the fault, and we can often give you the price before anyone travels.

Repair and installation jobs can also be booked online for a chosen hour.

On the visit we check the whole door or window, not only the part you pointed at. We tell you what we find and the price before we fit anything.

What changes the price

  1. Type of glass

Plain clear toughened glass (safety glass) is the base price. Frosted, tinted and extra-clear glass cost more. A frosted band or an etched logo is priced by the size of the area we treat. Fluted glass, which has ribs running down it, costs more than twice clear glass. Glass bent to a curve costs over three times. On those jobs the glass, not the fittings, decides the price.

  2. Thickness

10mm suits most partitions and showers. We use 12mm for full-height cabins, shop fronts, and panels much over 8 feet tall. Going from 10mm to 12mm adds about ₹55 per sq ft.

  3. How much glass

You pay for the glass, not for the floor. A 10 x 8 ft cabin with three glass sides needs about 216 sq ft of glass, not 80. Size also helps you. That same cabin costs about ₹620 per sq ft. A small 5 x 7 ft partition with the same door parts costs ₹850.

  4. Fittings

On a small job, the fittings change the price more than anything else. A full door set costs about ₹7,500. This cost is the same for a 35 sq ft partition or a 300 sq ft one. On a small job, very little glass has to carry that cost.

  5. Doors

A fixed panel with no door is the simplest thing we make, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Add a hinged door and the rate goes to ₹850. A sliding door adds rollers and a track. A hidden track adds even more.

  6. Cutting and drilling

Every hole and cut-out is made before the glass is toughened. We charge for each one. A panel with a door, a lock and a handle needs much more work than a plain panel of the same size.

  7. Delivery

Toughened glass travels upright in a frame. It cannot be cut once it leaves the factory. Delivery costs about the same for a big load or a small one. So one big delivery is cheaper than three small ones.

  8. Fitting work

This is the time our team spends at your site. A straight partition against good walls usually takes one day. Some things add time: night work, scaffolding, or a second trip because the site was not ready.

  9. Site conditions

Some sites take longer to work in. Walls that are not straight. Floors that are not level. Tiles we have to drill. No service lift, short working hours, or an upper floor with only stairs. Each of these adds time on site.

Common questions

Is there a minimum charge for a repair?

There is no call-out charge on top of a part, because a part's price already includes coming to fit it. If no part is needed, you pay for a repair visit, from ₹1,500 for a window. If we find a worn part on that visit, it is added at the price on this page.

Why is a fitting priced per part and not per square foot?

Because the size of the door does not change what the part costs. A floor spring for a 3 ft door is the same unit as one for a 4 ft door. Glass is different, because more glass really is more material, so glass stays per sq ft.

Can several repairs be done in one visit?

Yes. Two or three doors or windows in the same place can usually be done in one repair visit. You pay one visit charge and then the parts each one needs. Tell us how many when you get in touch, so we bring enough parts and plan the time.

Why does each style have a different rate?

Because each one costs a different amount to build. A fixed panel has no door parts at all. A partition with a hinged door needs a full set of parts. A sliding door costs even more. And a large cabin shares one door set across much more glass. So its rate per sq ft is the lowest of all. We work out every rate on this site from the real cost. We do not pick the numbers.

Is the rate per sq ft of glass, or per sq ft of floor?

It is per sq ft of glass. This is the main reason a price can look higher than you thought. A 10 x 8 ft cabin sounds like 80 sq ft. But if three sides have glass 8 ft tall, you are buying about 216 sq ft of glass. Your written price shows the glass area. So you can check the sum yourself.

Do these prices include GST?

No. Every rate on this site is before GST. Your written price shows the amount and the GST on separate lines. So nothing surprises you at the end.

Why does a small job cost more per sq ft than a large one?

The door set, the delivery and one day of our team's time cost about the same on any job. On a 5 x 7 ft partition, only 35 sq ft of glass carries those costs. On a full-height cabin, about 216 sq ft carries them. That is why the same kind of build drops from ₹850 to about ₹620 per sq ft.

Why do the fluted and curved showers cost two or three times more?

Because the glass itself costs that much more, not because we charge more to fit it. Fluted glass has ribs running down it. It is made in smaller batches, and we buy it at over twice the price of clear glass. Glass bent to a curve is made on a mould, one panel at a time, and a panel that comes out of the oven wrong cannot be used. That is why a curved enclosure is over three times a flat one. The seals, the silicone, the measuring visit and the day on site are the same on all of them.

What is the cheapest way to get this look?

A fixed glass panel with no door, at about ₹620 per sq ft. Every moving part adds cost: hinges, a lock, a door closer, a sliding set and its track. If the room works with an open doorway instead of a closing door, that is where you save.

Do you charge for coming out to measure?

Asking us for a price costs nothing. The measuring visit is part of the job, not a separate bill. We always measure. This is because toughened glass is cut to size before it is toughened. It cannot be cut again later.

How much advance do you take?

Enough to cover the materials, once you have approved the written price. Glass cut to your sizes is no use on any other job. This is why an advance is normal in this trade. You pay the rest when the work is finished.

Can the price change after you measure?

The written price is firm for the work listed on it. It changes only if the work changes. For example, different glass, an extra panel, or a door where there was an open gap. If we find something at your site that we could not see earlier, we tell you before we go on.
