The Hosur Road corridor through Bommanahalli, Begur, Kudlu Gate and Singasandra has been building steadily for years, and it shows in the mix. Some of what we do here is a first fitting in a flat nobody has lived in yet. Some is a repair in a building that went up fifteen years ago. And along the main road there are commercial buildings with small offices and showrooms in them.
New flat or old flat changes the recommendation
In a society handed over in the last few years, the walls are straight. So frameless is the better looking and the simpler answer.
In a block fifteen years old, the walls have usually settled a few millimetres. A slim aluminium frame takes that up inside the channel, where frameless cannot.
We decide with a level at the measuring visit, against your own walls. Nobody can tell you which one you need from a photo, and anyone who does is guessing.
Fitting out a flat before you move in
An empty flat is the easiest and cheapest site we ever work in. Nothing to protect, nobody waiting for the bathroom, and no neighbours to work around.
If you are fitting out before moving in, do every bathroom in one order. Three enclosures together share one measuring visit, one delivery and one booking for our team. Ordered one at a time, they carry three of each.
The one thing we cannot do early is measure. That waits until the tiling is finished. The finished tile face is the size we cut to, and toughened glass (safety glass) cannot be trimmed later.
The commercial buildings on the main road
Along Hosur Road there are small offices, showrooms and clinics, usually on the first or second floor of a commercial block.
These are small jobs, often two or three rooms. Small rooms cost more per square foot, because a door set costs the same whatever it carries. Ordering the rooms together, instead of one at a time, is the real saving.
Delivery here needs planning. Hosur Road and the Silk Board approach can hold a vehicle for an hour at the wrong time. So we arrive early and unload straight away.
