Hebbal has two of our biggest job types within a couple of kilometres of each other. Towards Manyata and Nagawara there are large office floors, where the passes take longer than the fitting. Around Hebbal Kempapura and the lake there are tall towers, where every panel goes up in a booked service lift. And the flyover sits between the two, which is why our deliveries here leave early.
The lift decides the panel size
In the towers around the lake this is the most important measurement we take, and it is not in your bathroom.
A service lift has a fixed inside size. A panel that will not go into it will not go up the fire stairs either, and toughened glass cannot be trimmed on site to make it fit.
So we measure the lift on the same visit as the room. Where one panel will not go up, we make the job as two panels joined with a glass connector. That is completely normal, and from a few feet away you cannot see the join. What is not okay is a delivery arriving at a lift it cannot enter.
Office work near Manyata
Partition work on this side is usually a run of cabins and meeting rooms on a floor already in use. So material moves at night or over a weekend.
Before that, the campus wants a work permit raised by you as the tenant, our workers' IDs, an insurance letter and a material gate pass. It takes a few working days, which is how long your glass takes to make. So we start both together.
Ordering a whole floor as one job is much cheaper than one cabin at a time. One permit, one delivery and one non-stop booking, instead of repeating all three every few months.
The flyover, and why we deliver early
The Hebbal flyover approach can hold a vehicle for a long time at the wrong hour, and a booked service lift slot does not wait.
So deliveries here go out early. Missing a lift slot in a tower usually costs a full day, because the next slot is often the next day.
This is also why we ask for your tower name and the association's lift hours on the first call. It is one phone call for us, and it removes the most common way a job here slips.
What the towers actually need
The blocks around Hebbal are from fairly new to about twenty years old, and that decides the answer.
In a newly re-tiled bathroom, frameless is the right choice and looks better. In an old bathroom in an older tower, the walls have usually settled a few millimetres, and a slim aluminium frame takes that up where frameless cannot.
We decide with a level at the measuring visit, against your actual walls. We do not sell the dearer option by default.
