New railing, new panel, or a repair: which one you need
Three different jobs come to us as "the balcony glass". A new railing is a full run of glass on new fixings, priced by the running foot. A replacement is one panel in a railing that is otherwise fine, priced by the square foot of glass. A repair is the railing you have made firm again, priced as a visit plus any clamp we change.

Closing a balcony with glass, without losing the balcony
A balcony glass cover is sliding toughened glass fitted above the railing, from the railing top up to the ceiling. Closed, it keeps out rain, dust and pigeons. Open, the balcony is a balcony again. It is not a wall.

Why railing clamps fail, and what a repair visit looks at
Clamps live outside. Rain sits in them, the rubber gasket inside hardens, and the glass starts to move. A moving panel wears the gasket faster. A small rattle usually becomes a loose panel within a year or two.
A repair visit checks every clamp, anchor and gasket on the run. We tighten what has worked loose and change what has corroded. A clamp is one fixed price with its new gasket, and we tell you how many before we change any.
