Paschim Vihar is planned West Delhi. There are the A and B blocks of independent floors, and there are group housing societies, many of them with lifts. Jwala Heri Market sits in the middle and is busy most of the day. Our work here is mostly homes: bathrooms, windows and balconies, with the odd shopfront in the market.
Society flats with a lift
Many societies here have a passenger lift, and some have a service lift too. That makes glass work easier, because a full-height panel often fits in one piece.
We still measure the lift car and its door before designing anything. Lifts vary a lot, even within one society.
The society usually wants a lift booking and a register entry. We arrange both when you place the order.
Balcony glass and the society's view
Glazing a balcony is popular here. It keeps out dust and noise from the Outer Ring Road.
But it changes how the building looks from outside. Many societies either restrict it or ask everyone to use the same frame and glass, so the block stays uniform.
Check with your society before ordering. Where they name a system, we quote that one.
The independent floors in the blocks
The A and B blocks are independent floors, mostly without lifts. Glass goes up by hand, and the stair turn sets the largest panel.
These buildings are older, so walls have often moved a little. We check with a level. Where a wall leans, a slim frame usually seals better than frameless glass.
