Arriving before Central Market wakes up
By eleven, a Central Market lane has no room for a delivery vehicle. So we arrive early, unload quickly, and move the vehicle out before trade starts.
The carrying and fitting happen after that. Both are quiet and block nobody.

Showroom doors wear out at the floor
A showroom door here opens and closes all day. The part that wears is the floor spring. That is the mechanism set into the floor that closes the door smoothly.
A door that slams, drifts open or catches on the floor almost always has a worn spring. The glass is usually fine. So we check the spring before quoting a new door. A new spring costs a fraction of a new door. And when we fit one, we fit a spring rated for shop use, not a light home one.
Bathrooms in the flats above the market
The flats above the shops are mostly thirty or forty years old. Bathroom work here is replacement, not first fitting.
The panels go up a narrow shared stair by hand. We measure the stair turn on the same visit as the bathroom. Where a tall panel will not make the turn, we split it into two with a slim joint.
The walls have usually moved a little over the years. A slim frame often seals better than frameless glass against an old wall.
