The office buildings along Golf Course Road are boutique rather than corporate campuses: smaller floor plates, fewer rules, and lifts that were built recently enough to take a full-height panel. That combination makes this one of the better places in NCR to build a partition that looks the way it was drawn.
One-piece glass, because the lift allows it
In most of NCR we design around what the lift will allow, and full-height runs need a joint. Here, usually not.
The service lifts in these buildings were sized for handover fit-outs, and most take a panel up to about eight feet comfortably. So a run of cabins can be single-piece glass with no vertical connector at all.
That is worth having on anything a visitor looks at directly - a reception, a boardroom face - where a joint is the first thing the eye finds. We still measure the car, the door and the lobby turn before designing anything, because buildings differ and a booking slot is not a size. But on this road the answer is usually yes.
Fewer rules, and one decision they hand back to you
There is no fit-out manual in most of these buildings and no night-only window. Work happens in normal hours, which is faster and cheaper than a managed tower.
What that freedom does is hand the lease question back to you rather than having the building answer it.
An aluminium-framed system bolts to floor and ceiling, comes apart at the end of the term and can be re-planned if the team grows. Frameless glass on patch fittings looks better and is drilled into the structure, so reversing it means making good. We ask how long your lease has to run before recommending either, because that is the question that changes the build rather than the price.
Boardrooms, and what glass does about sound
A boutique office usually wants one room that is genuinely private, and this is where honest advice matters more than specification sheets.
A single sheet of toughened glass cuts much less sound than people expect. It is rigid, so sound passes through it. A glass boardroom in single glazing looks excellent and will not hold a confidential conversation.
Where that matters, the answer is double glazing with a sealed cavity, ideally with the two panes at different thicknesses so they do not resonate together, and proper seals at head, base and door. It costs meaningfully more because it is a different product. We will quote both and say plainly what each will achieve, rather than quoting the cheaper one and letting you discover it in week two.
