Fitting out a unit inside a mall is a procedural job as much as a technical one. The mall sets when you can work, how the unit must be screened, how material comes in and what condition the common area is left in. The glass is ordinary; the rules around it are what the job is really about.
Barricading a unit before anything starts
Malls require a unit under fit-out to be screened from the mall side, usually with a solid hoarding to a specified height and finish.\n\nThat goes up before any work begins and comes down at handover.\n\nIt is not optional and it is frequently left out of a budget. We include it in the quote rather than adding it later, because a fit-out that cannot start on the agreed date because there is no barricade is an expensive way to save a small amount.
Materials in and waste out, at the mall's hours
Malls restrict deliveries to specific hours, usually overnight, and route them through a service corridor and a goods lift rather than the mall floor.\n\nWaste leaves the same way, and it cannot be stored in the unit indefinitely.\n\nSo the programme is built around those windows from the start. Trying to compress a fit-out into a normal working day in a mall does not work, and a plan that assumes it will is a plan that slips.
Protecting the common area on the way
The mall floor between the service lift and your unit is finished stone, and any damage to it is charged to the fit-out.\n\nSo we lay protection along the route before moving anything and take it up afterwards.\n\nIt adds time at each end of a delivery and it is trivial compared to being charged for a damaged mall floor. Most malls also require it, so it is worth having somebody who treats it as routine rather than as an imposition.

- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
