Vaishali has more small commercial space than the areas around it, and the three main users want three different things from a glass partition. A clinic wants privacy at the right height. A coaching floor wants quiet. An office wants light and a layout it can change. Quoting all three as the same partition is how one of them ends up wrong.
Consulting rooms: the privacy line
In an office the frosted band goes at standing eye height because people walk past. In a consulting room that is the wrong height and it is the thing we are most often asked to correct after the fact.
The person opposite the desk is seated. So the band goes at seated height, deep enough to cover them from the corridor side without darkening the room.
We set that line on site with you: stand where a patient stands, sit where a patient sits, and mark it. Five minutes at the measuring visit, against a film stuck over the glass six months later - which never looks like it was meant to be there.
Coaching floors: what glass does and does not do about noise
This is the one place we routinely talk people out of what they asked for, and it is worth being direct.
A single sheet of toughened glass cuts far less sound than expected. It is rigid, so sound passes through it. A glass classroom partition in single glazing looks excellent and will not stop one class hearing the next.
Where separation genuinely matters the answer is double glazing with a sealed cavity, ideally two different pane thicknesses so the panes do not resonate together, plus proper seals at head, base and door. It costs meaningfully more because it is a different product.
We quote both and say plainly what each achieves. What we will not do is sell single glazing into a classroom and let you find out in week two.
Small offices, and the lease question
Most offices here are leased and many are small enough that the layout will change within a couple of years.
Both of those point the same way. An aluminium-framed system bolts to floor and ceiling, unbolts at the end of the term, and the same panels can be re-set into a new layout wherever the room sizes suit the sizes you own.
Frameless glass on patch fittings looks better and is drilled into the structure, so removing it means making good and the panels only go back into openings of the same size.
We ask how long the lease runs and how settled the plan is before recommending either, because those two answers decide the build rather than the price.
