Nothing here closes for a repair. Mall units trade seven days, so almost everything is done overnight, and the constraint is what can be finished and made safe before the mall opens. Knowing what fits into one night and what does not is most of the planning.
What can be finished in a single night
Mechanical work — replacing a door, changing a floor spring, fitting a pane into an existing frame — fits comfortably into a night.\n\nWhat does not is anything that has to cure undisturbed before it is loaded or cleaned.\n\nSo we sequence sealing last and, where a job genuinely needs two nights, we say so before starting rather than at five in the morning. A unit that opens with an unfinished joint is worse than one that waited a day.
Making a damaged shopfront presentable immediately
In a mall a damaged front is seen by everybody passing, and taped glass reflects on the brand rather than on the accident.\n\nSo we make safe in a way that reads as deliberate: the pane removed and the opening neatly closed, or a clean board cut to the opening.\n\nThat costs a little more on the first attendance and it keeps the unit presentable while the replacement glass is made. In this setting that is usually worth more than the saving.
Entrance doors in a mall unit
A mall unit's door is opened continuously through trading hours, far more than a street shop's, and it fails in the usual sequence — the closer weakens, the door stops latching, then it drops and the corner fittings loosen.\n\nCaught at the first stage it is a spring and a night.\n\nLeft until it drops, it is fittings and often glass, and a longer closure. On a door used this heavily it is genuinely worth acting when it stops closing cleanly rather than when it jams.
