There are two kinds of booking here. A market unit needs the fault dealt with before it costs trading; a home needs the whole list done properly on a convenient day. They are the same work and quite different jobs, and we would rather know which one you are before offering a time.
Market repairs, done before the shutters go up
For a unit, the useful window is early morning: the market is empty, there is parking, and the shop is ready when we leave.\n\nSo we book commercial work then rather than after closing, which means starting late and finishing in the dark.\n\nWhere several units on a row need work, doing them on the same morning costs less for everybody and takes one disruption instead of four. It only needs somebody to mention it to the neighbouring shops.
Shutters, which damage more glass than anything else
Every unit here closes behind a rolling shutter, operated twice a day for years.\n\nAs the guides wear, the shutter runs slightly out of line and starts to touch the frame or the glass edge on the way down.\n\nThat produces chips along one edge of a front pane and eventually takes the panel out. So when we replace a front here we check the shutter alignment first and say if it needs adjusting, because otherwise the new glass goes exactly the same way.
Home repairs, worth collecting into one visit
For the houses behind the market, almost nothing is urgent and the sensible approach is to gather the list.\n\nTravel and setting up are most of the cost of any small repair, so two visits for a handle and a mesh cost close to twice one visit for both.\n\nSo it is worth walking round before calling. Most households find three or four things once they look, and told in advance we arrive with the parts for all of them.

- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
