Dust storms reach Gurugram before the monsoon each year. The grit settles in the bottom track of a sliding window. Over time it packs so hard that the rollers cannot turn. The shutter then stops short of the frame and will not latch. In May and June the heat goes above 40 degrees. An air-conditioned room with a window stuck open cools badly.
