Clinics and hotels here run continuously, and a repair cannot interrupt somebody being treated or a guest arriving. So these jobs are planned around the building's own rhythm more than around ours, and the useful thing we can offer is fitting into whatever window actually exists.
Finding the quiet hour in a place that never closes
Every clinic and hotel has a quieter period, and it is rarely when an outsider would guess.\n\nSo rather than proposing a time, we ask what the day looks like and work to it.\n\nThat usually produces a window nobody would have offered — between a morning list and an afternoon one, or after a check-out rush. Working in that hour is far less disruptive than an out-of-hours visit, and it costs less.
Doors that have to be easy for people who are unwell
A door into a clinic is used by people carrying files, holding children or moving slowly, and a standard commercial setup is often wrong for them.\n\nA closer set too strong makes it hard to push; a threshold strip is a trip hazard; a knob excludes anybody without a firm grip.\n\nSo we set the closing force lighter than standard, keep thresholds flush and fit a lever or bar. None of it costs more — it simply has to be asked for, and it almost never is.
Keeping a clinical area clean while working in it
Drilling in a clinical space produces dust where dust is genuinely a problem, not merely untidy.\n\nSo we screen the working area properly, vacuum at the drill rather than sweeping afterwards, and wipe down surfaces before leaving rather than leaving it to the cleaning staff.\n\nIt takes longer than an ordinary job. In a place treating patients it is the part of the work that actually matters to the client, and it should be quoted in rather than treated as a favour.
How the job works
- Tell us about the jobSend a few photos, rough sizes and what you need. Use WhatsApp or the form. For a repair, a short video of the door moving helps a lot.
- We call you back in about 2 minutesWe confirm what you need and a time to visit. Where we can, we give you a rough price on the call.
- We come and measureWe measure the opening and check the walls, floor and ceiling around it. Anything made to size is made to these measurements, so they must be right.
- You get a written priceIt lists each item, with GST as its own line. If anything about the job changes, we tell you before we go ahead.
- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
