Sector 16 is where the offices and the shops sit on top of each other, and almost nothing here can close for a fit-out. The glass is standard commercial work. What makes it a Sector 16 job is that it goes in overnight and has to be finished, cleaned and safe by the time the market opens.
What can and cannot be done overnight
Fixing, glazing and hardware can all be done in a night. Silicone cannot be hurried.\n\nStructural silicone needs time to cure before the joint is loaded or cleaned, and a joint wiped too early never seals properly.\n\nSo we plan the night around that: everything mechanical first, sealing last, and the first hours of trading with the joint left alone. Where a job genuinely cannot fit into one night we say so before starting, rather than leaving a unit half-glazed at opening time.
A partition in a unit with one entrance
Most units here have a single door, which is also how the glass comes in and how everything else has to leave.\n\nThat makes the order of work matter. Panels have to come in before anything is built that blocks the route, and waste has to leave before the new partition closes off the back.\n\nWe plan the sequence at survey. It sounds obvious, and the alternative is standing a finished cabin between a delivery and the door at two in the morning.
Leaving it clean enough to open
A fit-out in a trading unit is judged the next morning by whether anybody can tell it happened.\n\nDrilling concrete makes a fine grey dust that settles on stock hours after the noise stops, and it is the thing that gets noticed.\n\nSo we sheet the unit before drilling rather than sweeping after, vacuum at source where we can, and take the sheeting out with the dust still on it. The cleaning is part of the quoted job here, not an afterthought.

- We fit itYou approve the price and pay the advance. Our own team fits the work, checks that every door and window opens and closes properly, and clears up. Most jobs are done in 3 to 4 days.
